I have been interested in many subjects over the years and have participated in many forums. This one is the best I've seen on any subject. HUGE user-base. Polite and respectful users. Thanks you to every one of you for helping to make this the go-to site for anyone wanting honest opinions and advice.

Btw. I am 6o years old, been smoking for 48 years, tried to quit using every method going, many times. I was smoking 36 to 40 cigs a day. Bought my MVP Feb. 2 2014. The transition was so easy for me that I only smoked 25 cigs that first week. I quit altogether Feb.9 and wowwwwwww. So darned easy for me. No grumpiness. Breath so much better. I KNOW as long as I can vape, I'll never go back to smoking.

Congrats to you also peepaw. Cutting cig use in half is a good step. Have you tried a step up in the nic. level? It might help. I use 12mg mostly with a couple of tubes of 18's for any rough spots I encounter. (so far - NONE) but I still use the 18s just for fun.

I didn't mean that I cut my use of cigs in half, I dropped them in less than a day.
Sometimes I'm not that clear on what I mean to say.

As far as nic goes I started on 18 and am now at 15. That's probably about as far as I will go.
I like nic, it keeps me from doing dumb stuff, or should I say dumber stuff.

I began yesterday. Immediately received referrals from a gracious moderator to blogs to read about different 'equipment. It saved me a lot of grief. Did a bunch of reading and made my decision. Went to town and made my purchases locally to get started.

Also received some info from another member with a 'tip' about what to look out for on 'juice buying' and how it can lead to shall we say 'hurt feelings'. Wow! I saw immediately there are some who can't be happy. I have to be careful or my opinionated self will get ME in trouble. I tend to defend even when I have no business. Good to learn from the start. Told myself this morning, "HUSH". Overall my experience has been great and I am so glad for yesterday morning and the help I received in the first post I made. One post - perhaps ten replies - all SO GREAT and helpful! It was amazing! Now it is up to ME not to mess up a good thing.

I 100% agree...one thing I notice...there is little to no flaming and very little fan boism...(maybe on the Provari side)
No matter how noobish the question, people are willing to jump in and help...that is why I joined in. I was already vaping quite awhile before I joined, rebuilt my own Protanks, buy a few mods, haven't jumped on the mechanical mods and probably won't. I want to give honest and experienced answers when I chime in.

I don't see this on the sneaker community, tech forums or even on the deal hunter sites. I've been on forum boards since 1998, and let me tell you, you guys are genuinely helping each other kick a bad habit.

Greetings. Geriatric Vulcan here. Too arthritic to do the hand thing anymore, can only get one finger up. ;)

Speaking of getting it -- .... Never mind. Vulcans do not discuss such things. The old folks threads are cool here too. So is the Canada thread, I hang out there just for the cool people sometimes.

Or just wander around and be evil like me. Cheers!

First off, Congratulations and welcome to the ECF family :toast:

I agree this community has been very informative and supportive in my transition to vaping.
This is the only vaping community that you will need, IMHO.

Take care!

10000% this

The people on here are great and I got that impression after about a day of lurking before registering.

And congrats

WOW,, glad you clarified that you actually quit. I'm proud of ya and I don't even know ya. Thats why I love it here. It's do good to hear that my ease of transition isn't just a figment of my active imagination.:p
Again, sincere congrats.

Great progress made, I didn't have the amount of years smoking that most people on the forums do, but I am grateful to have come about such a supportive community which in part lead me to stop smoking and start vaping, I quit cold turkey and never looked back 6mg nic level is my daily and it will stay that way so long as I vape.
