Greetings. Geriatric Vulcan here. Too arthritic to do the hand thing anymore, can only get one finger up.

Speaking of getting it -- .... Never mind. Vulcans do not discuss such things. The old folks threads are cool here too. So is the Canada thread, I hang out there just for the cool people sometimes.

ohh man yea. I gotta join that Canada thread. So much to try and keep up with. Btw. Vulcans are some of my favorite people.

I have been interested in many subjects over the years and have participated in many forums. This one is the best I've seen on any subject. HUGE user-base. Polite and respectful users. Btw. I am 6o years old, been smoking for 48 years, tried to quit using every method going, many times. I was smoking 36 to 40 cigs a day. Bought my MVP Feb. 2 2014. The transition was so easy for me that I only smoked 25 cigs that first week. I quit altogether Feb.9 and wowwwwwww. So darned easy for me. No grumpiness. Breath so much better. I KNOW as long as I can vape, I'll never go back to smoking.

Couldn't agree more. Finally got around to making an account, but I've been on this forum for forever. Such an amazing community

Hello hardcyder! Welcome to the forum. Congrats on the big accomplishment. My story is similar to yours. At 55 with 40yrs. of the smoking habit I quit on the same day I bought my starter kit. My only regret is not discovering vaping sooner. Enjoy your new freedom from a bad habit.

Every success story here is heartening. Incredible how similar the stories are and how easily us older guys convert. My son, 32, won't even try a puff from mine.
