Sup guys, looking to buy my first mechanical mod. I know about rebuilding and ohms law but I have no idea about mech mods themselves besides the batteries you put in. Essentially its just a metal tube with a connector so whats the real difference in these besides the engravings? I read a lot of people preferring the nemesis but why? I would like something that hits nice, also wanted tbe black look but only the stingray has it. Can someone please enlighten me on this topic. Thanks!

I have the hcigar nemmie and stingray, and the stingray wins for me hands down. It's smaller, it looks nicer, it has a significantly improved button (that will last decades longer) and the brass version comes with a matching wide bore drip tip.

The nemmie is fine, but the button is of sub-par quality, at least on mine. The button is crunchy, and will sometimes even just fall apart. And it's a little over engineered so it's larger and has more moving parts, which only gives the cloners more room for machining glitches.

I do not have, nor do I know about the turtle ship.

I have the Hcigar a Nemmie(Brass) and 2 stingray clones (one in SS one on barss). I'm a huge fan of the Stingrays magnet switch out of the box a bit shorter with all of the tube modes. I upgraded my Nemmines with some magnets I got of the E-Bay and made a huge improvement in the switch but I think the Stingray switch is just a bit better. Both are solid Mods you cannot go wrong with any of them. it just comes down to what mod you prefer the look of. I like the Stingrays so much that I'm looking for a real one to come up for sale for a reasonable price.

I have both, and I'm gonna have to go with the Stingray. That said, make sure you take the switch apart when you get it to clean it of possible shavings left from machining. It was crunchy at first. The hcigar Nemesis is fantastic though. I use them both daily. Nemmy for kayfun, Stingray and caravela (also hcigar) for dripping. Also use the Smok Magneto with a Kayfun.

Stringray and turtleship for me, but the turtleship edges out only because of looks, but that's my opinion.

They all perform the same to me, I don't notice this 'crunchy switch', 'threads like butter', 'it hits me so hard', etc. If it's from Hcigar it's usually good quality, so pick the one you like the look of most, stick a high quality battery and your favorite tank on it and your good to go. :toast:

Clones are dead cheap so you'll end up buying your 2nd favorite sooner or later anyway, then your 3rd...

How did you know i have three
Of the three HCigar mods that I have, the brass Chi You hits the hardest, and I would rate the brass Caravela best over all. Sadly my mixed Nemesis rates a distant third.

I have all three (my Stingray is made by Infinite though). For me it's Stingray (brass) > Nemesis (copper) > Turtleship (SS). The turtleship's edges are a little too sharp for my taste, sometimes I feel like it cuts into my pinky when firing. The Nemesis hits the hardest, probably because of the copper (!?), but even with magnet switch replacement, its firing button is kind of crunchy. Stingray is all smooth and butter, I have no complaints and am very happy I bought it.

If your choice is not limited by these 3, I would recommend the Panzer clone, which comes with a black version. I love my black hawk panzer.

Know this. It does not matter which you choose. Start with the most appealing to you.

Every Clone Manufacturer, unfortunately, has a few Lame Ducks. What you Receive will be luck of the Draw. If it has minor issues and you can easily correct them, you are ready to rock. If you are not technically inclined, ask for replacement for any problem mod.

Stingray - Great or Switch issues(Very common on cupped pin switches) Easily corrected
    Nemesis - SS<good or Crunchy>, Brass<Mostly Excellent> Cheapest available=Garbage, Avoid
Turtle Ship - v1 minor issues and NO battery isolator at switch(risky) V2 Good to Go

Even original mods can occasionally have issues so Clones with minor issues are NOT to be ranted about - for the price.

    9 Nemesis Clones
    2 Sigelei #20
4 KTS Storm - converted to Plus caps
    1 Maraxus
    2 Sigelei 8w
    1 Sigelei Telecopic

These are my current China Mechanical mods - All work excellent for their assigned duties. Most took a little cleanup and or tweaking.

    Smallest?
    Clone?
Nemesis with Hybrid kit -56mm to topper
Almost hides in fist with a Nano Kayfun

I have two Stingrays, and a Turtle Ship V2 (by Infinite) and all are great mods. All have floating 510 contacts, adjustable switches for battery rattle/fitment, and are virtually seamless between tube connections/joints. I love the performance of the switches as well. The Turtle Ship is my favorite spring loaded switch mod.

I don't have a Nemesis, and don't want one either .. this mod is soooo played out to me.
