Hate to burst your bubble !!!! the SB is quite larger than the chuck
It all depends how you look at it. The regular Chuck is a little longer than the SB but the SB has a lot more...girth. The SB performs well and I loved everything about it except for the size. The switch is great also.
I have a feeling I'm going to like my little Chuck a little more because of the size and personalization, but the SB is still a great model.
Until another supplier agrees to order a special powder color at my request and put my design on a PV, I'm going to stick with voting for the Chuck.
Yeah, nothing against the Chuck, but this seems to be a campaign. Those Chuckleheads are rabid fans, just check out the main thread for them.
Hehe... well, to be fair, every mod seems to have their rabid fans. Go take a look at Trog's screwdriver forums sometime. They've got members who have purposefully gotten banned here over defending the SD.
It's one thing to love the mod you use, but badmouthing others that you don't even own is just somewhat idiotic, in my opinion.
I'm not badmouthing the Chuck. In fact, I'm considering ordering one today since I have a few extra dollars and already have the batteries. Just pointing out that the thread is kinda funny. Everyone refreshing their pages every 2 seconds hoping for new pics. LOL.
And yeah, I'm aware each of the mods has their own crazed fans, and at least with the Chuck thread, it makes sense to hang out and see the newly crafted ones, whereas most other mods all look the same.
Still waiting on the new Prodigy to come out, but the low price of the Chuck makes it very appealing for while I wait for that. Plus... custom graphics (just gotta figure out what I'd want).

I think it's the biggest thing that makes the Chuck shine so much. People get so invested in them because they're personalized, it makes the anticipation that much greater.
Not that I won't be excited when I finally get my SuperT2... but it just won't be the same.
Look up thread clutter and it will point to that thread.
For me the graphics are just a bonus. The thing just vapes well.
The best way to get over "mod zealotry" is to get a bunch. Also, go to some of the vapor meets in your area and try them. Then when you speak about a mod, people will know you don't have a bias.
If I could afford all of them, I would (the HVs, anyway... almost no interest in 3.7v anymore).
Then there would be no point for threads like this. If everybody had an unlimited e-cig budget, then they would buy every one. Unfortunately, most people don't.

I have a GG grant, loved it apart from the button but its using unprotected batteries so I stopped using it
Really can't wait for that Janty Baby J, she uses pen atties and they are my favourite of all atties which if used properly produce just as much throat hit and vapour as a 6v 510 attie!

None of which are HV mods/devices....
The rabid fans, and the reviews and comparisons to other mods are the reason I'm going to be purchasing a Chuck when I've got the spare money. People have mentioned the size and look of the heavy duty construction being a bad thing but in my book they are good things. I'm the daughter of a mechanic/machinist, so I tend to appreciate functionality and durability over looks. The switch seems to be another point for griping, but from pictures I do believe that this is a same or similar switch to the ones my dad regularly soldered on as replacements to "better looking" switches on electronics that promptly died from normal use.
It's an opinion thing. I'd rather have an overbuilt monster mod with custom graphics than a sleeker, more space-agey mod. That and I'd like something large because of my habit of dropping my M401's and 402's and having to fish around with my hands to find them again. It's going to be hard not to feel the Chuck if it somehow manages to roll under my couch.
And for the record: Having not owned a single HV mod, and only having gotten the chance to try a Prodigy (which I loved. The heat of the vapor was much more similar to analogs than what my puny M40X stuff creates) I did not vote in the poll.
GG is a 6 volt device. Janty Baby J may have 5 volts. Besides, if some of you would have given other atties a chance (PAST their PRIMER of course) you would have discovered that you don't really need 6 volts!
The 510 is as powerful at 3.7 volts as a modern 901 attie, older ones were MUCH stronger, penstyles(again past their primer)were and still are!
I have no idea what you guys are doing with your penstyle atties!!
Now I will enjoy my GGs protected 3.7 volts with MASSIVE throat hit thanks to penstyle power!
Can someone point out the HV's that are 5 volt. I personally find 6 just a little to warm and flavor robbing for me. When my SB starts to loose it's 6 volt is when I like it the best. So I think 5 volt is my sweet spot. So if anyone can point out just the 5 volt HV's I sure would appreciate it.

I know the GG can do high volts, that's why I didn't highlight that one. I can't see how the Baby J could hold batteries that would make it to 5 or 6v, unless they're using a boosting regulator with a 3.7v battery in it, or they invented their own battery. The video also seems to confirm a 3.7v device (though not stated specifically) as he says the vapor is about equal to the Jantystick, which is also 3.7v. If a 5v device is working the same as a Jantystick, then it's the worst 5v device on the market. The 801 penstyles I've tried are essentially worthless at 3.7v. Like, nothing comes out of them. Cool, thin, weak vapor. I can taste it, but feels just like breathing in flavored air, and when I exhale nearly nothing comes out relative to my 510s/306s at any voltage, even when the battery's almost dead. I bought one for my friend and tried it numerous times with new, old and in-between atties. She's still smoking analogs because it just doesn't do it for her. I've tried fiddling with it all sorts of ways to help her out to no avail. I've basically told her to either get a HV battery for it, or switch to a different model. A side-by-side comparison to a 510 was laughable. I use 510 or 306 atties at 5v and couldn't/wouldn't use anything less if given the choice. Unfortunately, sometimes I actually have to leave my house, and I don't have a portable HV device yet. (VERY SOON THOUGH
). 5v on a 510 produces massive, warm, thick, flavorful vapor.I have no idea what you're doing with your penstyle atties, but it must be something magical.

Those are off the top of my head...
The Xhaler from Nhaler is supposed to do 5v from what I've heard, but I don't yet know how, since there doesn't seem to be a resistor or regulator in it, and no batteries will do 5v without something like that.
