I know the GG can do high volts, that's why I didn't highlight that one. I can't see how the Baby J could hold batteries that would make it to 5 or 6v, unless they're using a boosting regulator with a 3.7v battery in it, or they invented their own battery. The video also seems to confirm a 3.7v device (though not stated specifically) as he says the vapor is about equal to the Jantystick, which is also 3.7v. If a 5v device is working the same as a Jantystick, then it's the worst 5v device on the market. The 801 penstyles I've tried are essentially worthless at 3.7v. Like, nothing comes out of them. Cool, thin, weak vapor. I can taste it, but feels just like breathing in flavored air, and when I exhale nearly nothing comes out relative to my 510s/306s at any voltage, even when the battery's almost dead. I bought one for my friend and tried it numerous times with new, old and in-between atties. She's still smoking analogs because it just doesn't do it for her. I've tried fiddling with it all sorts of ways to help her out to no avail. I've basically told her to either get a HV battery for it, or switch to a different model. A side-by-side comparison to a 510 was laughable. I use 510 or 306 atties at 5v and couldn't/wouldn't use anything less if given the choice. Unfortunately, sometimes I actually have to leave my house, and I don't have a portable HV device yet. (VERY SOON THOUGH:D). 5v on a 510 produces massive, warm, thick, flavorful vapor.

I have no idea what you're doing with your penstyle atties, but it must be something magical.

Lets just say that I get plumes that hang around in the air for a long time and massive throat hit, perhaps its to do with dripping. All penstyles seem to be useless with carts but drip them and they really come alive! Give it a try you may like it :D If a pen can come alive at 3.7 volts that means longer life 3.7 volt batteries in the mod, tho the vapour is cooler the throat hit is very good indeed!!!

I use my GG with them and the Janty stick but the stick needs the Kensington USB battery attached :( Baby J will be perfect for me :)

Given that the average resistance of an 801 is like 3.5ohm and a 510 is 2.5ohms 901 3ohms

510 at 3.7v is like 5.5watts of power
901 at 3.7v is like 4.5watts of power
801 at 3.7v is like 3.9watts of power

801 at 5v is like 7.1watts
901 at 5v is like 8.3watts
510 at 5v is like 10watts

801 at 6v is like 10.28watts
901 at 6v is like 12watts
510 at 6v is like 14.4watts

How can you say 3.9watts is "Coming Alive"? thats barely enough power to do anything...can you explain your theory? The 801 is a Perfect High Voltage Device...but at 3.7v...its anemic at best

None of which are HV mods/devices....

I think the this thread lost the meaning of HV almost from the the start. The Little Chuck isn't HV either and I wonder how many of the folks discussing the models in this thread are using the HV option anyway. Like Mod, HV has become to mean for many anything with a big removable battery, which is cool language is a funky fluid thing.

AJ, as yet another aside to this thread, I notice you mentioned in this thread that you really only use HV now and that you sometimes use 306s in other threads. Ever try the 306 at HV? How does it handle it?

Try it and see...
3.90 watts is plenty especially when you drip :)

Me and the humble 801 have been around alot longer
Get used to it for a day too!

Not to step on anything here.Because you most definetly have more knowledge than me on this topic! But this pic is my little chuck at 3.7 with Nhaler plain 24mg ! I get a massive warm throat hit ! And i was a 2 pack a day camel smoker. I think you will be suprised when you get your big chuck which i assume you would order? And try it at just 3.7v Look forward to meeeting a fellow Chucklehead:thumb:

I would stick with the GG-T. Can vape at every possible voltage, with any combination of 6 different batteries, in 3 different sizes (small, medium, large to fit the occasion), and is totally mechanical and solder free. When I'm at home, she stays mainly in Giant mode, sometimes Grant. But when I go out and don't have a lot of room I drop her down to Nano size

That's the one I'm leaning towards. Seems to be the most versatile, and the fact that it's solder free is a bonus. If anything went wrong I'm sure even I could repair it. :thumb:

Surprised to see it got the least amount of votes.

The Prodigy from Puresmoker
The GLV from Great Lakes Vapor
Robert on this forum makes and sells 5v "Detonator" mods

Those are off the top of my head...

The Xhaler from Nhaler is supposed to do 5v from what I've heard, but I don't yet know how, since there doesn't seem to be a resistor or regulator in it, and no batteries will do 5v without something like that.

Thank you very much!!!

No device is better than the battery you are using in it, and the atomizer attached to it. Tribal is right about those 801's when using them at 3.7 - 4.2v and taking a nice long deep draw, whilst dripping and not using a cart, just a tip, the flavour and throat hit is magnificent... Nor does it require a high nic content to supply it.

I do own a couple of 6v mods, and I personally am not keen on 6v method of vaping. I prefer 3.7v as I enjoyed smoking best of all when you can just relax, feet up, and take those deep inhales... lovely, especially with a nice rich flavoured juice..

Admittedly, I did have much more success dripping with the 801, but it still didn't compare with my 510 with carts, and not even close with dripping on a 510 (dripping's a PITA to me...). I like the 306 for dipping and flavor testing. Anyway, I've strayed off topic here. If you get good results with it, awesome:thumb:. I'm thrilled with my combo and sticking to it too :D

You said it much better than I ever could, I'm not very good with words hehe :) I'm vaping Janty Cappuccino and some chocolate from Eastmall and am very happy :)

There's the rub. I like a HV 510 because it allows me to take as short if not shorter a draw than what I used to from an analog, and end up with tons of vapor (more than a cig smoke). I hate taking 8-10 second, slow draws just to get the same amount of vapor. With HV I can take a 2-3 second draw and it's already almost too much...

I see what you mean! Thats what I liked about the 6 volt GG but I just needed some more battery life since I use it outside for a long time, I do prefer the smaller devices too

The throat hit is just as good but needs longer time to inhale
