The problem here, if I am not mistaken and I'm pretty sure I'm not, is that the Chuck is quite a bit slimmer than most models and it can not possibly handle a button like you speak of without looking like crap.

So basically, unless I am mistaken, all of the buttons people wish was on the Chuck would be way too wide and hang well over the curved edges and look pretty bad.

no, i understand that the chuck is slimmer, but no, the button is absolutely horrid! a recessed button would completely sell me on the PV or if it were located at the bottom i.e. SuperT, AdapteveR. the one and ONLY thing holding me back is that terrible button =P to-each-is-own i guess

Other:
I purchased the VP-2 and really happy with that. Running at 3.7.. great vapor, sleek, cool led colored lighting. And flip battery for led on or off. but still be able to vape.
my two cents....

I just pre-ordered the VP passthrough which will be on the market in a few days. It is a true HV as it runs at 5v on the wall plug adapter or at 4 volts on the USB adapter. Its good to hear from someone that is happy with their product.

Im not trying to sound like an ..., but what makes the prodigy worth $125? I've seen other HV's that seem to be of good quality that are priced much lower. What does the Prodigy have that these others don't?

You have to compare base kit to base kit. THe prodigy without batteries and an atomizer is actually only $95 which would be $15 more than a Chuck (if you spend another $5 to get the free shipping anyway) and the same basic price as the SB and way cheaper than the GG.

Unrelated to the quoted post. It is a shame that threads like these that could be the most useful always derail into mostly hyperbole, uneducated half truths, and urination matches. Especially since each of the HV units in the poll and mentioned all have a pretty unique set of features and benefits.

p.s. Again for the record 3.7v is 3.7v and not HV vaping.

3.7 i know is not considered a hv mod! But do you know any 3.7 device that you can drip 4-5 drops and not flood it? I do with my little chuck and its a beast!

Hmm, amazing that a paint job has that much of an effect on an atomizer. The custom detailing is cool and all (I even broke down and ordered one to commemorate #27), but I would be surprised if it altered the laws of physics.

Many of the responses are like this. Same bat = same vape no matter what the tube looks like. It's odd that people swear otherwise.

ok pull out you stock 510 batt and atty ! drop 4 drops!!!!!!! FLOODED RIGHT?8-o

He said same battery, not same voltage (though even that should produce the same vape for a couple puffs). Look at the stock batteries. I don't imagine you're using them in your Chuck. If you are, you've modified it significantly for the worse.

... The Chuck requires very light pressure, less than my new Xhaler, where the button is too big for the battery tube diameter. ...
I am shopping for a new HV mod and Xhaler and the Chuck are the two I am considering. You seem to have both of them. How do they compare? I know that Xhaler can do 5v which the Chuck can't unfortunately. The Chuck has a great write-up but I am not interested in custom paint job, so that is not a benefit.

I've been using Prodigy (5v) for a while and know what to expect from 5v, and I like it a lot. On the other hand, I have been taking words of others about 5v being the "sweet spot" for granted and now want to try what 6v feels like for myself.

Which one do you like more and are you using them as HV devices?

Right, and what makes me lose my patience with this issue is that this is what people will argue about and that makes threads like this, which should be very useful, completely useless. It is a disservice to the consumer and at times I feel like it crosses the line to being disingenuous.

/agree

Everyone has their preferences... it's when that bias leads to misinformation that the problem starts. All the big mods will perform the same. I have yet to see conclusive evidence to prove otherwise.

Personally, I love my Chucks... so much so that I'm pondering ordering a third. And no, they aren't just "paint jobs"... the quality FAR exceeded my initial expectations. "Paint job" to me implies someone with a can of spray and primer, and that comparison would be ridiculous. And no, the switches aren't shoddy, misfiring pieces of crap... they're easy to press, and have held constant for me for two months with daily, heavy vaping. Notice how you don't see entire threads devoted to Chuck switch failures...? The only people who ..... about the switch are those who don't own one. I'd say that's a good example of misinformation.

If you have a touch of imagination and want something personalized that's sturdy as all hell and gets the job done, go with the Chuck.
