samysam1313,

I've haven't tried Litecig's liquids yet, but I have had some from a number of different suppliers, and I wanted to address a point you've raised that deserves attention. As someone who hasn't vaped yet, there's something you should understand about tobacco-flavored liquids and real smoke. Part of the flavor of a lit cigarette is the combustion element. You're tasting the byproducts of the combustion of tobacco leaf and rice paper, and as far as I can tell, this exact flavor has yet to be replicated in e-liquid. Instead, I think of the tobacco flavors as similar to puffing on an unlit cigarette.

Thanks Data. Was starting to get that idea with all my research, but you clarified it for me. Never really thought about why a real cig tastes the way it does. Combustion and all.

Couldn't agree with my fellow Washingtonian more! There is nothing out there in any way similar to the taste of burning leaves. The closest I've come is actually with menthol juice and this is likely because menthol is so strong it even over powered the tobacco in the few menthol analogs I remember smoking. However, there is alot of stuff that tastes a whole hellofalot better than dried old leaf smoke. Firstly, I would abandon any notion of tobacco replication and begin with simply thinking of some basic flavors you like. For instance chocolate, coffee, licorice. green tea (one of my faves), etc. Start by ordering some 10ml starter bottles and go from there. No one is going to be able to tell you what you like better than you! :)

Well, to be completely honest, I'm a Georgian transplanted to Washington for job reasons, but I'll happily accept the agreement. ;) And while I agree with your point about going for flavors you like, some of the tobacco flavored juices out there have been quite good. In fact, my favorite liquid right now is a tobacco-based flavor.

With that in mind, can anyone comment on LiteCig's tobacco flavors? I'm particularly curious about the Benson & Hedges and the Dark Tobaccol (is that a typo on the store page?) Blend.

Thanks for all the clarifaction. I've been reading a lot on the forums and no one ever seems to think to mention what you 2 have about tobacco taste. Seems that's important for new people to know. Thanks a whole lot. It's appreciated. When I first started researching ecigs, I did think they would taste like real cigs. Not anymore.

I've tried the Benson & Hedges and it was the closest to a real cig as I've found in a vape. It's got a slight ash/burning cig taste added to the tobacco flavor. I really liked it when I first switched over to vaping.

Thanks Kellbell. We have that brand in real cigs here in Canada. Canadian flavor. Do they have that brand in the US?

I never saw that flavor anywhere. Can you give me a link where to get it? Thanks.

LiteCig sells it here Almond Liquid (Ignore the "Almond Liquid" there. That's an error on LiteCig's page title.)

I'd prefer it in 24 mg, but I'll be the owner of a high voltage PV in a couple of weeks, so their High/16 mg might work out.

As for the real B&H, yeah, it's sold here i the States. It's considered a premium brand that's a little more expensive than the standard Marlboro, Winston, Camel, etc. When I was a kid, both my parents smoked and B&H was their brand of choice. I was a Marlboro Lights smoker before vaping, but I'd have a B&H every once in awhile. It's probably the smoothest cigarette I've ever smoked, but as prices went up, I couldn't justify making it my regular brand. Especially since Phillip Morris constantly runs "Buy 2, get 1 free!" specials on Marlbs.

Hi Data. We never have specials on real cigs here in Canada. They just keep putting the prices up. I have smoked American cigarettes some, but don't like the taste. They all have "That Taste". Turkish tobacco taste. YUK! Guess you have to be smoking them all the time or have started with them, to not taste it. Americans find my cigs too mild. LOL.

Like your name. Did you get it from Star Trek?

I've gotten e-liquid from 5 different vendors Litecig is by far the best tasting. I only blend with others to reduce my nic levels. My favorite "blend" is 1 drop usa mix, 1 drop coconut, and 1 drop of vanilla (in that order). Works equally as well for me when I substitute hilton or cuban cigar for the usa mix. the 555 is also worth a try (been hitting that pretty hard this morning)! Their coffee and cappuccino is also really good. Do yourself a favor and get as many samples as you can afford. I also find their benson and hedges goes pretty well with anything if you like mixing flavors.

edit: I also find their cotton candy sweetens just about anything if you like that kind of flavor. Goes great with chocolate.

I'm really curious to try Cotton Candy. Candy Cane too. I love the real thing, so I might just like it for vaping too. I've only tried the RY4 in the tobacco flavors so far. Tends to stay on the atty. Not too thrilled about the taste. Tastes to me like a can of tobacco smells. Would love to try B&H if I can get it. Not sold in Canada that I've found.

I would like to order some new flavors sometime soon.

I have a hard time deciding since I am veering away from my standby tobacco and ry4 -ish flavors.

If the grape is sweet and like a candy grape like I would try it.
How is the grape?

Is the chocolate really chocolate tasting because some chocolates taste best when they come in mocha flavors which are great but I would like just a chocolate. I'm looking for nothing bold but more of an after taste of chocolate like when you drink hot cocoa.

I am considering the licorice and or the Pepsi too although I can't imagine pepsi or red bull in vapor form.

I'm not into the red eliquids though so I'm leaning toward the pepsi.

I have a zero nic of cotton candy from another vendor that doesn't taste like anything. I am wondering if I should buy another cotton candy in a high nic to mix with it. How is this cotton candy flavor?

What are your favorite 'other flavors' besides tobacco's ?

thanks

greenie,
I think you'll enjoy the Pepsi and RedBull flavors. I have both. With the Pepsi, you'll have the mellow taste on the back of your tongue, and then on the exhale you'll get the bubbles feeling all over the top of your mouth. Toss a drop of blueberry on there and you got one helluva combo.
As for the redbull, going down its kind of cherry flavored, and the exhale has the taste of a redbull belch. Personally, I like it.

As for others..
Fruit Punch is awesome. Got a nice mixed fruit flavor and slightly sweet.
I have RY2 and RY3, with RY3 being more carmel/sweet then RY2, with RY2 being more tobacco.
Cappuccino has an awesome mocha aftertaste, and is good and heavy.
Blueberry is great too, but I dont have a high enough nic for a good throat hit. If I had the 24mg, it would probably be my favorite.

But of course, I'm only a week or so into all of this, so my taste buds are still borked up.
