Hi, so I recently got and eVic, I am very pleased with it, but I dont like the clearo im using now just because of the looks of it and maybe because the vapor is a bit hot for me, can someone please recomend a nice clearo that would look great on evic? preferably one that looks hood without the evic default skirt and more preferably, the one that screws on the thread of that skirt? I found only Evic Changable atomizer, but as I read about it - it looked like its very bad

Protanks, iClear30S - these I what I would call "mid-sized" clearomisers.

They look great on an EVIC.

Both are 510 though and will look best with the "skirt" on.

If you want to take off the skirt and attach using the EGO threading, you could be in trouble finding a mid sized.

Please don't buy the evic atomiser....

To be honest, I used Kanger T3S or even mini Protanks on my EVIC.

I have the Protank and the protank II, they are both causing the evic to stay atamizer short. The evic recognizes the tank, but then it shorts. I called Joyetech and they said not to use the Protank and that it probably damaged the evic. I just got the evic a couple of days ago and can't get it to work. Any ideas?

Do you have a different tank you can try? My Protank2 minis never have worked on the evic, I get the short message. But there is nothing wrong with the evic, it runs every other tank and carto I have.

I'm not sure how well I can explain the Protank problem but here's a try. The clearo and battery are not making a solid connection because of the way the 2 are made. Look at the bottom of your protank and the top of your evic. There are 2 small metal "disks" that need to be touching each other for your device to work. The "wells" that they are sitting in (how you screw them together) are too deep to get the disks connected.

When you go to your vape shop, ask them to try an adapter. I did that at my local shop, and it completely solved the problem. I didn't get the adapter, because I did not want to regularly run the minis on the evic anyway. I was just curious what the problem was. But if you want to use your Protanks this might be the way to go, and it will be much cheaper, around $5.

Your local shop may have the Nautilus, probably not the Aerotank Mega. It's new and not in most shops yet. But they might have the original Aerotank.

Good luck!!

It didn't make sense to me either, maybe the woman just wanted me to buy the Joyetech atamizer. I ordered one today, since they don't have them near me. The place that sold the evic, sold it to my brother with a protank. He gave it to me as a gift. I love it, just wish that I could use it. She said that since I used a protank, that I will not get the warranty on the evic. So if I can't get it to work with another tank, I'll have my brother take it back where he purchased it. Maybe it's defective. Weird thing is, it recognized it, and even vaped a little at first, but after a few vapes it would short. Now it shorts all the time, won't work at all.

I like the black Kayfun Lite Plus clone by EHPro.

I understand exactly what you are saying. I was worried that maybe they were touching too hard, and that the evic got damaged from the protank pushing down too hard on the evic metal disc. I would rather it be the problem of them not touching hard enough. Then at least there should be no damage. I'll try that today, hopefully they have that adapter. I'll post what happens, this could help someone else with the same problem. Thank You Very Much.

Help! We need lots of it....

(anybody?)

An evic would not be damaged by using a Protank, not unless you screwed it down in a crazy way.

I would imagine that ANY 510 can damage it if Joytech is claiming that Kanger products would. I don't understand companies that say things like "Don't use xyz tanks" If you wanted a proprietary system, why not make your threading proprietary then? Or is Kanger really that bad? Joye is the second company I've heard of on these boards that have said that Protanks will damage their devices...

It looks very nice, is the clone any good? and I am not sure that I want rebuildable, is it complicated? I just dont want to cut new wicks and then thread wires around it and put it in some special tube, sounds too iritating to me.

Honestly, rebuilding isn't nearly the big ordeal people make it out to be - the learning curve is quick and the results are worth it. By the second day, I could build and install a new coil in about 5 minutes, and you only need to do that every few weeks. It's a few more steps than replacing an atomizer in a regular clearo. I wish I'd tried it sooner. I wrap wire around a 1/16th inch drill bit, pull a little cotton off a cotton ball, and thread it through.

Before I got it, I used a Nautilus, Protank 3 (with the airflow control), Aerotank, and Protank 3 mini. And I changed them out several times a day to switch flavors. Since it showed up, I've put on my Nautilus once or twice and the rest have all sat untouched. The vape is just that much better. The Nautilus with a brand new (good) coil gives you good flavor, but it's not even close to the Kayfun.

From my research, the EHPro is the best clone out there right now, and the only complaint I have is that sometimes the air hole makes a slight whistling noise on the draw. It's pretty minor and I've gotten used to it.

I decided to try it because replacement coils for the clearomizers can really add up financially. $6 for wire and $3 for cotton to last a couple of years sounded like a good deal to me. I didn't realize how much more I'd LIKE using it. If you think you might enjoy a rebuildable or you're considering it, I highly recommend spending the $35 or so on the EHPro clone and trying it out. I'm planning to buy a few more of them over the next couple of months so I can have multiple flavors in the rotation at once. :D

Oh, and one more thing to add - if you decide to try a rebuildable, order some e juice that's one level lower in nicotine than you use now. It seems to be more efficient at delivering the nic somehow, and I have to be careful with it or I get that jittery/headache-y, "too much nic" feeling. I usually use 12mg and pretty much chain vape. I have an 150ml of 6mg in my favorite flavors being delivered today so I can stop worrying about it (the KFL got here on Saturday).
