I would bet $10 any tank will work on an evic with a 510 adapter. (or eGo-510 adapter)....

This business about "voiding" warranties is pretty outrageous.

Joye is the second company I've heard of on these boards that have said that Protanks will damage their devices...

Yes - this has GOT to stop. Same story as the Volcano.

The brands are doing this for most suspicious reasons.

EVIC is temperamental. It is also extremely fragile. Joyetech got out of my warranty claim by pointing out the disclaimer in their literature that states "wiring is not covered under the warranty..." which is how mine failed...it's not good enough....

There is a story in the UK of a chap who bought an e-com. It leaked and leaked. He took it back to the shop and they told him "Joyetech products do not leak"... you have caused this. No replacement, $125 spent on an unusable e-cig system.

At least the EVIC can be used with universal tanks/devices - just don't tell Joyetech.

Agreed. While Kanger isn't known for consistency, to claim that using a kanger topper voids your warranty is to essentially not have a warranty.

So I took my kanger tank, that wouldn't work on my evic, into the local vape shop. I tried their evic and low and behold, it worked. Then I tried the aspire nautilus tank on my evic, same thing, atamizer short, yet it worked on their evic. So since my evic was a gift from my brother, who lives in a different state, I sent it back to him and he is taking it back to the shop where he purchased it and get another. It never worked from day one and I only had it a couple of days, so returning it to the shop shouldn't be a problem. Must have been defective. Meanwhile I bought a battery to use on my kanger tank, so I could at least enjoy the tank while I wait for the new evic. Love the tank.

Just remembered something.

None of my Kanger Evods worked on my EVIC. (not one, out of 4 or 5).

I actually tried attaching my new Protank 2 to my EVIC head today (although the head itself is broken) just to see what sort of compatibility it would have. I have to say.... the 510 threading on the PT 2 is too long for most of my mods.

Worth remembering to be very careful screwing these connections together. Do it by feel, not by sight. If there's a gap, there's a gap..

Interesting to note, my V1 lavatube has had every tank I've ever bought on it at some point or another. (that's got to be 30+ tanks). It's in perfect shape.

Shame my evic only lasted 5 months and the threads were already showing signs of failing long before the electrics failed.

The evic is just a bit rubbish really.
