I have both the Air flow base and a standard and both of them vape fine. The standard base you have to have a miniscule gap for air flow but it still works just fine. I love the airflow base though. Just tighten that puppy down all the way.

I was going to order the airflow base, but..... I can't see how to swap them over cant get the ends off

My current set up

Nice setup Jonny, was thinking about getting the Hippo Cap as well but was wondering if I could still get that flush look being there is an oring for airflow. without the ring the best tanks OD are 3/4 or about 19mm, but with that top cap your prolly looking at something like a Phiniac or some 23-26mm for the OD. You could measure the OD with the ring on. If I had that ring I would use my Black ONyx Phiniac on my Provari..Been looking at those double and triple anodized glass tanks with the matching drip tip at Electro..others have them as well..

Just picked up a Mini in Satin Silver off the blem sale..very happy with it. I'll post my current Provari setup shortly..

You might just wanna hold out on that bigger tank for a couple weeks and see what comes along. Just sayin:)

Ok, I smell something in the works. Whatcha got coming cuseguy? I love my polished air gap VPX caps. You got a wider one coming?
I have one of J-tanks from Electronicstix and it does fit the Provari fully with something like the Hippo skirt.
The only thing I do not like about the Hippo skirt is the 510 thread is a little tighter than the Provari so the air flow is a little different.

This is not a hippo cap, it is called them prorings from the uk vapers forum I got mine from sotong on uk vapers, he sells them for $18 delivered it fits perfectly, 3 days del to n.ireland it's just a small metal ring, and the vpx tank holds it down well and is tight even with the airflow version and does not effect the draw, it uses the standard provari own 510 connector, from my understanding the hippo cap has a connector that you need to use, i took a few pics so you can see the airflow base on it.

Now all I have to work out is why all my pics are side ways lol

matrix, who is electro and also who did your carbon fiber wrap setup? its slick!!

Thanks, If you look at Skyway's sig there is a link too Jwraps, the skin for the tank I cut and measured by hand..

Jonny: Thanks for the info, I had saw there were other rings out there other than the Hippo(overpriced) So Ill prolly end up getting the prorings as they are less than half of the price and I would also like to be able to use my wider tanks without it looking redic..

Hey jonny, So the ring doesn't get held down by anything but the tank?, surpising the VPX still holds down the ring as it's the the same OD of the ProVari topcap, am I missing something here? Lol..How different is the airflow version?

-Thanks..

The top of the ring has a tiny lip of .5mm which means the vpx tank holds it down well, the airflow head is great, I actually fine it draw is a tiny and I mean tiny bit looser when using the ring. As there is more airflow under the tank as it raised .2 - 4 mm

I actually can't fault it at all and the brushed pro ring matched my brushed vpx tank caps 100%
