The battery plays a part in voltage drop, arguably more than the mod itself. Get a battery with low internal resistance, and remember that voltage drop will increase with lowering the resistance of the coil (also, voltage drop tests need to be done under load, otherwise they really mean nothing).

As for specific mode, it's been a while since I looked up new mech mods but my copper Stingray (clone) hits hard. I've heard great things about the Stingray X as well

One of the best in terms of voltage drop, simplicity, price is the Caliber v2.0

Personally I love my Nzonic. Telescoping mod, floating center pin, and magnetic switch. All the goodies and can be had for under $40 on ebay! Ive had my black one for about 7 months now and no issues. I recently ordered a stainless version off Ebay for $32.99. For those not familiar it is what the Smoktech Magneto was inspired from but fell way short in quality and build.

Well if you want the lowest volt drop possible, the lowest I've seen measured yet is the Real Stil.
But it's expensive as hell and you'd have to import it I guess.

EDIT: Disregard that, just saw what topic I actually replied to. Sorry.

Also, the Kato box mod (clone of course) can get very VERY low on volt drop if you tune it a bit. Out of the box it's not that good though.

Just buy the Workhorse and be done with it.
Its an authentic from one of the best modders out there, palladium contacts, top notch fit and finish,
Clones are a toss up - sometimes you get a good one, sometimes they need work, and if you have a problem you are on your own.
The Workhorse comes with a lifetime warranty.

I second the super T recommendation.
I was after a SMPL , but they are nowhere to be found so I started doing a lot of research into Super Manufacturing's offerings.
Superb reputation, great pricing, US made.
I'll b pulling the trigger next week on a simplicity and a workhorse.

I have to agree with the copper stingray clone. I recently traded my ss hcigar nemesis fpr a copper cigreen stingray and all i can say is wow it hits so much harder than the nemmy did. My experience is limited to just these two mech mods, since i am still a mech mod rookie, so to say.

Where did you buy your Cigreen Stingray?
