Does anyone have any suggestions as to what works well to paint or decorate these rubbery covered batteries aside from the basic suggestion of clear nail polish over stickers?
I have seen decorative wraps that go over the smaller 510 batteries but have not seen any for the ego size. I was thinking about this the other day and was wondering if they have shrink wrap tubing large enough to go over an ego size battery? Even if they do it might only come in red, black, yellow, lol.
Thats a good question TxAnt. Have you viewed the thread ,, http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-interested-showing-off-thier-ego-setups.html
There are a few interesting ego's posted in that thread that could give you some idea's.
take care,,Rob.
Thanks Rob, yes I have looked through all the threads here thanks. The skins/wraps I have found don't seem long enough. I use the long 1100 mAh batteries.
OK well I figured out a really simple way to decorate them to my liking and thought I'd post a photo and instructions in case anyone else wants to copy my idea.
Decorative duct tape (Duck Tape Brand)
Something I've been pondering lately, and would work with Ego 650 up to a 1000Twist. Use one of those sites (cafepress and whatnot) that let you make your own iphone decals. Just add marks for the cut. Cut them to size. BAM! You're very own custom made ego sticker. If you measure the battery properly you could even make it a seamless design.
I was searching for a heat shrink type of material that had colors other then the basics and i remembered having some stuff i got years ago from a fella that i used to coat some motorcycle parts with and after looking on ebay for it i ran across something new to me. It's very much like what i had but it looks like now you can make your own colors. so it seems a crafty person could make up a few different colors and more or less Swirl an Ego battery in it for a custom one of a kind color coating. there would be a problem with the Twist being it has the adjustment bottom cap but maybe that could be taped off or covered in some way to leave it un-covered with the coating.
I'm not sure if this will work but i don't see why it wouldn't. Here is a link to a site that has it. I also seen it on ebay. Create Your Color Kit | U.S. Plastic Corp.
