Hi there,

I don't want to risk my new e-cig being seized by customs so I want to order from a Canadian vendor.

Out of the 4 vendors and the products they offer, which one would you recommend?

SmokeStix
Electronic-cigz
Vapes Mart
HappyVaper

I am looking to get a simple starter kit to determine if e-smoking is for me. I am looking for something that offers a tonne of flavours, and throathit is not very important to me. I just need something to relieve stress.

Thnx.

Thanks for the quick reply.

What's the difference between the m401v2 and the m402v2?
Also, how are the 501s sold by happeyvalley an upgrade to the 401/402 sold by electronic-cigz?
Yep! the only differance between the M401,M402,M403 is the batteries 403 being the shortest the 401 being the longest, the 401 will last 4 to 6 hrs on a full charge and a 403 not as long. all depending on how much you use it!! I can't speak of the 501's that you mention! maybe someone else can!!!......good luck!

Hi Gem, I started with the Happy Vaper 510 kit and then bought the M402 from electronic-cigz. Both are great companies to deal with and good products. I love them both and can't decide on my favorite. The 510 gives more throat hit and is easier to refill and drip but the M402 gives more flavour, but the cartridges require a learning curve to refill.

The only difference between the M401v2 and the M402v2 is size of the battery. The M402 PCC will not fit an M401 battery though. I loved the 402 so much I added a 401 and it is also a great performer.

But then my wife went and confiscated my 510, she likes it so much, so I am patiently waiting for Jack's stock at Happy Vaper to be replenished so I can get another 510 kit into the household. Hopefully this week!

My best advice for what it's worth, is the M401 starter kit from electronic-cigz. Go for the deluxe kit with e-juice included. It will have everything you need to get going.

best of luck!

Yep! I love the M series atomizers, they are the only ones that i have used and they got me off of a 43 year ciggy habit.(almost been a year now without a cigarette) But the only way that I could have made it was to take the inner cart out,cut off filter top to expose top of atty and drip 2 or 3 drop onto atom,I just keep a small 5ml bottle of juice with me at all times!! GOODAGO!!!

Thank you for all the replies and the warm welcomes.

I think i'm going to start off with pre-filled cartridges. I may decide to venture into dripping/filling my own cartridges sometime down the road but going to go with the dummy-alternative for now.

I have a few questions hopefully sheep or some other member would be nice enough to comment and help me decide whether to get the 401/402 or 501.
-In terms of size, is the 501 or the 402 smaller?
-How does the battery life compare?
-Which one is easier to puff (takes less effort)?
-Which one offers more flavours that comes in pre-filled non-nicotine cartridges?

I love Happy Vaper. I have ordered from Jack a number of times and the service and products are always top-notch!

:)

The M401/2 are smaller. The M402 has a shorter battery than the M401.

I think the batteries on the M401 lasts longer than the 510 battery.

The 510 cartridge is easier to refill and holds more. But the 510 burns hotter so you go through more liquid.

Neither one has a large selection of pre-filled cartridges. Buy blanks and fill your own.

;)

Hey GEMgarden, hopefully I can help a bit:

1. The M402 is smaller than the 510, more like the size of a king sized cigarette. The 510 is both longer and wider than an analogue. The 510 and the 401 are about the same length.

2. M402 and 510 batterly life are about the same, the 401 has a longer life than either of them. (just my opinion, I haven't run any experiments :)

3. The 510 is less effort to puff, but the M4xxx is not too bad, just a bit of a firmer draw.

4. In Canada I think Happy Vaper is about the only source of pre-filled non nic carts, and these are 510 only. But don't let this scare you off too badly. I was not keen on refilling my own at first and I got over this right away. It isn't as difficult as some of the forum posts make it out to be!

best of luck, feel free to ask any other questions!

Isn't flavour simply dependent on the source of the liquid? not really on which e-cigarette (atomizer) you're using? or both are factors that influence flavour.

Say I buy the 510 from happyvaper, i can buy liquid from electronic-cigz and use it to fill the cartridge and use it in the 510?
Same thing, if I buy the m402v2/m401v2 from electronic-cigz, i can use liquid bought from happyvaper in the m401v2?
Is the m401v2 closer in-size (versus the 510) to regular cigarettes?

Both are factors, the 510 burns a little hotter so it loses a bit of flavour.

Yup, the liquids are all interchangeable, and the crystal liquid from electronic-cigz is some pretty darn awesome stuff! Vapables.com is another great canadian source for e-liquid.

The M402 is very close in size to a regular cigarette, that's one of the reasons I like it. And I love love love the black with green led electronic-cigz sells. At first I wanted it to look as much like a real smoke as possible, now I don't!

cheers!

haha :)

that thing that is turning me off is the green button on the m402..its hideous IMHO.

So the difference between the liquid (listed on happyvaper) vs bases/flavourings is that liquid is already properly mixed (a combination of the base and flavourings i presume)?

what is topping off? (when do you exactly use to top off the cartridge)

thanks!

heh, I have the auto batteries, so no green button on mine (but I like that green button too!)

Happyvaper sells the premixed non-nic liquids, and zero nic cartridges, so yes, their liquids will be premixed correctly with the base and flavourings.

Topping off is adding a few drops to the cartridge. As you "smoke" the cartridge up the amount of vapour will get lower. So people generally top up one or two drops to bring it back to full strength. To top off I use a little 6ml dropper bottle, like a visine bottle, full of e-liquid. I also use this for dripping with the 510. With the M401/2 I just use cartridges.

Speaking from the same boat you were in, i'll toss in my advise.

The first starter kits me and my wife got were the the 510 kit from Happy Vapor and the 401 kit from electronic-cigz.

Both kits were great, but the 401 kit just didn't cut it for me and didn't scratch that itch trying to get off tobacco. The 510 kit from Happy Vapor was just what I wanted and needed. Granted he doesn't sell nic juice, thats easily solved as there are a few great juice vendors here in Canada.

Trust me on this, the 510 is the way to go when going off semi strong tobacco. You want something thats going to kick your ... in vapor production and throat hit. The 510 will do that.

Plus Jack from Happy Vapor is by far one of the best people i've dealt with hands down. He will NEVER leave you hanging and is there to help which is something new people need.

Happy Vaper all the way for harware! Much impressed with delivery times and customer service from Jack that goes above and beyond. Only drawback is you can't get nic there, but grab some flavours and then head over to Vapables for the nic juice. I have no feedback as of yet regarding other Canadian Suppliers as I haven't had the need to try anyone else yet.
