I need recommendations on a mini or pen style vaporizer to give to my mother so she can hopefully give up the cancer sticks for good. I need something simple and easy to use with reasonable performance. She does not have the ability or desire to build and wants something slim and small to put in her purse or pocket

Currently looking at the joyetech models and the v2 pro series 3. Anyone have any experience with these? I've also seen some expensive models. I am willing to spend the dough if it's worth it.

Hi mechhunter; So, I'm a mom of men and, for me, the iStick 30w was a great place to start about a month ago. (The 50w is out now.) It really is the size of a Bic lighter and 1/2; just as tall, just as wide but a littler longer than the lighter. It disappears in my hand when I vape and I'm an average sized woman. Also, it's plug-n-play vaping. What's no to love? :2c: I also have been using the iPV mini. I lack the knowledge to tell you why I like this mod better, I just do. It's a bit taller and leaves 1/4 of its width exposed when I wrap my fingers around it, though it's still easy to hold in my hand.

Both of these mods are helping me to quit smoking. They have great battery life and you can vape while charging. The iStick battery is built in but the iPV uses one 18650. I don't know if you can do the initial charge via the mod. I used a charger. Once the battery is in though, it's as easy as the iStick. The iStick at $35 was about 1/2 the price of the iPV but I can vape mad clouds  if I choose to get into sub-ohming. (Is that the right word?)

I have a Vamo on order along with 18350 batteries so I can use it as a, relatively, shorty. I worked up to this mod though after learning a bit with the other two.

Helping your mom find good juices is going to be key here too but I'm sure you already know that. Good luck!:vapor:

I have an Aspire Mini Nautilus and some ProTank 2's (cheaper as I wanted multiple). I'm picking up a couple of the Aerotech's for the Vamo. One day I intend to start making my own coils. (Good lord the things you learn here!)

I'm also pretty sure the 50w and the 30w are the same size too. The 10w is mini-er. Maybe someone else can verify.
