Hello all...
I'm recent to vaping and had a question. I currently have a Istick 20w with a Nautilus mini tank set up. While I like the setup I find it a little clunky and inconvenient in situations when I leave the house. I'd like something that is more of a pen style so I can carry it around in my pocket or in a purse section. The Istick is my only device right now so I need a backup as well. I have a few friends who have been vaping for years and they have pretty much told me that something with variable voltage is the only way to go. What are your recommendations for a pen style with variable voltage and where is a good place to purchase a starter kit? Thanks in advance

7-8 watts you will be fine with an evod or ego kit with a nice low resistance clearomizer on top. The Aspire kit is nice, too.

$25 bucks here, no VV (you dont' need it if using low resistance coils) and will be fine for out and about:

Kanger eVod Starter Kit / Kanger eVod | EV Cigarettes

or mega kit
Kanger eVod Mega Starter Kit - EVcigarettes.com

or simple discount blister kit, (one battery one clearo) to see if it serves your need for $13 bucks and you get some free eliqiud to try
Kanger eVod Blister Kit - EVcigarettes.com

I PREFER this over the other site given because these are GENUINE Kangertech, not "knock off" evods. Big difference IMHO>

Somewhere out there
I vape anywhere between 7 and 10 watts on my 20w iStick

The iStick 20W is peculiar in that it uses Average volts instead of RMS volts like everything else in the industry. That means the volts/watts displayed is a lower number than any RMS device would show for the same output. I use my Istick 20W at 5.5 watts, while I'd get a similar vape from an MVP set to 10 or 11 watts.

I don't think you'd be happy with regular Ego twist or spinner coming from what you have now. I have not used one myself, but those Ego-One devices sound like they'd be a better fit, more comparable to what you have now.
