Cigalikes... Grrr. My personal issues with them were the battery life, too tight of a draw, and the performance drop as the cartriges dry up (after just a couple or three hours, if that).
I've recommended the Halo Triton to newbies:
Triton Tank System Starter Kits | Halo Cigs My brother and three of my friends have quit smoking permanently with the Triton, after watching me do it using this same kit.
It's larger than an analog cigarette, but the 650mAh batteries last an average PAD smoker all day. The starter kit comes with two batteries and two tanks. This redundancy is the bare-minimum for someone who wants to quit smoking.
American company, shipping from NJ. Excellent rep for customer services. Excellent line of e-liquids too.
The threading is proprietary. If you want additional tanks, you need to order from Halo. If you want a variable voltage battery to fit on the tanks you have, you need to order from Halo. I kinda see this as a positive - for someone starting out, the sheer variety of available hardware is just stupifying and frustrating. "I don't wanna learn about all this crap. I'll just buy another pack of smokes." <- I've actually said that.
Some people are perfectly content with the Triton. Others, like me, have moved on. I now rock a Provari with an AeroTank, and a Vamo with a Kayfun Lite Plus.
I don't use my Triton much anymore, except for when I know I'll be walking around somewhere and my mod's are too heavy to carry.
But $65 I've ever spent. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't change a thing.
Good luck!
