Ok, I'm just getting into DIY e-liquid. So I have a lot to learn. A lot to learn. So please don't take any of this the wrong way. But if some of the stuff I come up with is really good I'd like to sell it eventually.

That said, I don't want to start with small quantities of ingredients from some place that only sells small quantities. Then I have to up my quantity and be stuck paying high prices for lots of small bottles just because I don't want to change vendors and risk changing recipes along with it.

I notice that a lot of people are buying their plain nic juice and flavorings from e-cig vendors. Paying $10-12 for a 30ml bottle nic juice in 48 or 60mg. I'm still not sure how much nic actually goes into an average bottle of e-lquid. I mean if you were going to make a 30ml bottle of e-liquid that was 24mg in strength for instance, how much of that 30ml bottle of nic juice would you end up using?

Like I said I still have a lot to learn, but one of the things I want to learn is, where do these e-cig vendors that sell DIY stuff get their stuff from? Because you know it's got to be even cheaper since they are tacking on some profit.

So is there a place that sells large quantities I can move up to at really good prices, but also small quantities I can start with while experimenting?

Lots of questions but let me see if I can tackle a few:

One stop DIY for flavors. They have a ton of PA flavors and using ECF as the code gets you 10% off. You can buy most of them in 6ml bottles at $1.40 a piece. They also sell PG and VG in neat little jugs. Get a 50ml graduated cylinder (they have cheap plastic ones), some pipettes and small 3 ml and 10ml bottles.

If you hurry My freedom Smokes has a 30% off sale on nic this weekend(code is less30). Buy 100mg/ml (i buy all PG nic)and cut with PG/VG. I find 80PG/20VG works for me as a base liquid and then I use smaller bottles to make flavored sauce. Pick up a blue 250ml bottle at MFS to hold you base liquid. Where gloves and handle the nic carefully. You do not want to get this on your skin or in your eyes.

Using 100mg/ml nic to make 50 mls of base liquid at 24mg/ml add 12 mls 100mg/ml nic, add 28 mls PG then 10 mls VG. You will have 80/20 at 24mg/ml. Deepending on flavoring amount you will change ratio and lower nic. I mix at 10% of total so the change is not very large.

Hope this helps and others will chime in. Happy vaping. Also check out the DIY stickies ther is a ton of info there!!!!

Thank you all for your replies. Those links were very helpful. Just what I was looking for. As was the mixing information. I have had the iPhone ejuice app for a little while now but had no idea how to use it. For whatever reason the information in this thread sparked something in me to the point I now understand how it works perfectly and will be a great resource for mixing.

I would try the e-Juice me up calculator for the PC, it is my favorite mixing program. I echo Banjo's Box Elder Supply advise, you can also buy Flavour Art concentrates in larger bottles (up to 120ml) from FSUSA. I use the One Stop DIY Shop for most of my supplies.

Thanks

Jeff~

I'm a mac user. So I don't think that program will work for me. But the iphone eJuice app is great. Seems to do everything I would want it to do.

I'm more interested in knowing where FSUSA get's their flavorings. Just pretend for instance that Johnson Creek had to rely on getting their flavorings from FSUSA to fill all their orders including those for Blu. Why pay a reseller (or possibly a reseller of a reseller) when you can go straight to the source?

Then you just need to go direct to Flavour Art and Perfumers Apprentice

Thanks,

Gourmet Vapor also has everything at 40% off with coupon code gv40 through Dec 15th, we normally get our 100mg/ml nic juice from here. If you are a first time buyer from them pm me for additional details.

Gourmet Vapor

The unflavored nic juice from Gourmet Vapor is from Box Elder. It is excellent, and with 40% off it is even better.
