Not sure about AV gear but Vapor kings usually has good prices and VERY good prices on older stock.

I am an absolute hater of clones. Clones are the devil!! I would rather save and buy an authentic than participate in the theft that is a clone. Besides, I know the way China does things, quality control is NOT their strong suit..lol

'clones': fasttech & 3fvape. I mean clone as YES there is a lot of low quality crappy stuff out there. But some other products are authentic & way cheaper than if bought in the USA
Got an authentic Wotofo Troll a couple of weeks ago for $23 from 3fvape (GREAT RTA btw), US price : ~ 40
I know you asked about mechs, but something's got to go on top of them.
Nowadays all my mechs are originals, and MOST of my RDAs, just break the rule when someone wants to charge $100+ on an RDA that is way less complicated to build from a $50~$60 rda also american made one
That said, I gladly paid ~$99 for a Kennedy trickster 25 RDA (with promo code) a few months ago and it's the best damn thing ever.
Oh! I'm enjoying a Coppervape Aluminum Bottom Feeder WAY MORE than my original REO (~$30 vs ~ $180 if i recall well)

Most or my RDA's are Goons. I have a few TM24's and an Apocalypse but the vast majority are Goons. Love the Goon.

I have over 100 mechs.
Both authentic and clones.
(Im also a retired machinist and I know a thing or two about metal manufacturing ).
Years ago, clone quality sucked.
Not today.
These days, many of the current clones are better built, on better equipment than their authentic counterparts, which are usually made in small shops or "farmed out".
I buy authentics too.
I dont buy authentics because of some imaginary level of quality because its just not there.
I buy them to own an authentic example of the product.
They are all knockoffs of a flashlight with a horn switch.
As far as AV goes I actually rock an optic or able clone pretty much daily.
Nice, simple mods.
Now if you REALLY wanna flex your morals...
AV is/was AmeriVape.
AmeriVape were the makers of the Manhatten mod, who decided to screw over the machinist who made their mods (you didnt think they actually made their own gear in house, did you?)
He then sold their unpaid stock as...
"The FUhatten" to recoup the cash he lost. Dont waste a second defending their honor, they have none.
Now dont get it wrong, I dig the current AV mods too but its just a soft metal tube with metric threads and a horn switch. A flashlight by design.
It dosent even dull the equipment to mill it.
Buy authentic for the RIGHT reasons.
Dont fall for the hype.

I have nothing against authentics, I just see alot of hype about authentics that just isnt accurate.

I wanted a Mech mod, only ever used regulated devices but built RBAs for years. Very familiar with Ohms law and all the safety aspects regarding mechs.
Found a great looking mod (Storm Rogue US Bear) but a genuine version is £400 over here ($495 US) and I can't justify that amount!
Looking around I found this clone on 3F.

What are people's thoughts? Worth getting? As I said it's a first Mech so not wanting to spend a big amount. I just love the design, just think will get a new RDA or use my MadDog instead.

Rogues seem popular. If you know the safety aspects, get one and see if you like it. That's one of the great things about clones - if it isn't quite what you hoped for, you haven't lost too much cash.
Exactly. With postage it has cost me (went ahead and ordered one) $25 or £21. So, as you say, 1/20 of the authentic price.
I can understand $120 or under for an authentic Mech but when you are talking nearly $500, that's just crazy!
I know your an AV guy, maybe you can help me out? I've been wanting an authentic, but I cannot seem to find one for sale. I'm not a facebook guy, which I hear is really the only place to find authentic items these days.
