Ok, so I'm in the market for some new stuff. The first time I tried e-cigs, I went with Blu (didn't know any better, thought it was exclusive) and of course, was discouraged. I went back to smoking for a while, until a friend on the forums here introduced me to a Joye Ego, and PureSmoker liquids. After trying a lot of different things, I found the best combo for me to be the Joye Ego XL with Boge 510 LR cartos, using PS Firecracker (although I did convert to a 60/40 VG/PG blend of VaporBombs Cinna-bomb for a while, I liked it a lot, but it seemed to really start shortening the life of my cartos and clogging up a bit). In the end, I went back to Firecracker, since it was the most consistently good flavor I had tried.

Upon learning this about myself, I promptly came into ownership of about 180ml of Firecracker. When I first started using it, I literally got about a month out of a carto, since it is a thin liquid, and didn't seem to require frequent cleaning or carto changes. Now, it seems with the new stuff, that isn't the case any more, and the flavor starts to change pretty bad pretty early on. Additionally, I feel like I have to top them off almost as frequently as direct dripping, which kind of takes away from the convenience of a cartomizer for me.

To try and combat this, I decided to try the Ego-T Mega Tank, since I had used the previous Ego-T tank with a fair amount of success, and found Firecracker to be quite tasty on it. Alas, I am not having the same experience now that I was then, getting a very tight draw, and a not-so-good flavor, although it does seem to burn through the juice a bit slower, and 2.5ml seems to last most of a day, which I like.

I am quite a heavy vaper, working from home at my computer, and very frequently taking hits from my Ego.

I had tried clearomizers from Volcano not too long ago, and while I was blown away by the flavor, the weak plastic tubes kind of killed it for me. I ordered some CE2 XL's from MadVapes, and expect those in any day now. I hope they work well, since they seem to be the subject of a lot of modders, particularly for tank mods.

Now, on to my question.

I need something that will provide consistently give good flavor/throat hit/vapor output, have a decent to good capacity, and can handle chain-vaping. If this means I have to move on from my Ego, so be it, but I think I should be good with an Ego for most purposes.

I am open to map tanks, but is there one that can handle being carried around in a pocket without leaking? This isn't an issue for me most of the time, since I sit at the computer most of the time, but it would be nice to have something portable.

Battery life is definitely an issue for me with portable stuff, since I do chain-vape. The Ego XL tends to last me all day most of the time.

I'm looking for any and all recommendations. I have already tried dual coil cartos, and did not have a good experience with them due to the same issues as the Boge cartos, only worse, often failing me within 24 hours or less due to clogging/burning. I think the filler/wick just can't keep up with me.

Thank you for reading, and double thanks for a reply. I am looking to make a new purchase today, hopefully :vapor:

I suggest a bottom feeder. I have a Reo Grand and love it. You can use your cartos or an atty on it. With an 18650 battery and 6ml juice bottle I get around 2 days of vaping before a refill and battery swap. You don't have to carry a ton of stuff with you when you are out and about. One mod will take the place of all that stuff. If you need any more info check out the subforum here Reos Mods

I was actually looking at that yesterday, but with mods like that, I'm just afraid I'll either pump too much liquid in, or not enough and burn out the atty. I do have a Joye 510 atty for dripping, but I'm not sure I like it.

Check out Ikenvape's cartos. If you don't mind the extra size and want something that's going to last a while, get one or two of the 510 Mega LRs to try with your eGo before moving on to another PV. I'll be honest that I have never tried the 510 Mega LRs myself, BUT I have used the Mega SRs on my ProVari and they're incredible. I chain vape too and can vouch for the long life. They hold about 60-70 drops on first fill, and seem to have a more absorbent filler than a lot of cartos. Strongly recommended from my end. If you don't like the length of the mega, just look at the other ones. Even the standard sized cartos seem to hold more juice than any other I've used and they really work like champs.

510 Cartomizers -- direct link to the IKV carto page.

Hope that helps!

You really don't have to worry about too much or too little. If you squeeze the bottle to much you may get some gurgle from your atty/carto, but that will go away pretty quick. There is also the nice big drip well/catch cup where your atomizer sits. If you don't squeeze enough juice you will know pretty quick. You shouldn't be popping atties left and right because you didn't squonk the bottle enough.
