I have decided that I am going to switch over to using my tube mech mod for all day vapes. I have been using my Provari Mini but I want to switch. I really want to find an rba that is great. I have tried the kayfun but I feel there was way to much hype around it. I did not get "great" flavor, however the flavor was not bad.

Someone had recommended the Russian 91% and I looked into it but it looks almost the exact same as the kayfun.

I would really like to be able to purchase a clone first to test it out and make sure I like it before I purchase an authentic one.

Any suggestion would be great and why do you think it is the best?

Thanks.

I'm really not sure why no one is responding to thread, as opinions here hold great weight. I believe the Rose assy is a bit better than my Erlkonigen for general flavor, but I don't put either down long. Now that the rose has been cloned, I'd give it a try. Had my 'authentic' Rose for about 4 months, and use microcoils, build in the ceramic cup, and use rayon (Tencel) wick in all of my devices. The wife's are identical--at about 1.2 ohms. More than anything, the wick makes even my Aqua clone work well.

As of right now, I am totally in love with the Orchid V2. In my opinion, it is almost perfect. Yes, it needs a glass tank and yes adjustable airflow would be nice, but as is, the Orchid V2 is OUTSTANDING, a great vape. At 20 bucks for the Tobecco version, try it out, I think you will be pleasently surprised. It has gone far beyond all expectation.

My favorite RBA for a mech mod would in the RDA category. For flavor, I would choose a Magma by Paradigm over any my other current RDAs. I have just received an Odin by Loki Lab, which is proving to be very good in the flavor department.

In the RTA category, I would opt for my proven GG Ithakas, as I have stopped purchasing these types of atties for over the past year.

The magma is my favorite but you will need to take juice with you, and it can leak.

For tanks, I've tried the KFL+, Eleaf Lemo, Taifun GT and Rose v2. I think at this time I give the Taifun the win. Its the easiest to build, fill and the flavor is great. You can access the build deck without emptying your liquid. The Rose has the best flavor and you can also access the deck without dumping, but building and wicking is more difficult.

This E-Cloud Vapes - Rose V2 Atomizer the Rose clone I bought:

This is what you are referring to correct?

Rose V2 Rebuildable Atomizer Tank 1 1 Clone RBA RDA Kayfun Killer Now in Stock | eBay

It looks weird with the big base at the bottom coming up to a more thinner body. I am assuming the base is where it holds the coil? Only reason I ask this is because I have been looking at so many RBA's the past few days and have seen some coils at the tops of the tanks.

I'm not sure how the clone acts--we (the wife and I) have two authentic Roses, and They have better flavor than anything else I have EXCEPT the magma. Airflow is ideal, and it is reliable. The Rose (RBA) is VERY reliable, I've had mine for 5 months and haven't replaced the O-rings yet! It's as solid as a rock. A learning experience to build, but once that's done, KA-POW, tasty from start to finish, and no leaking. I'd try a clone in a second.

You must be looking at the chamber without the tank on. All 22mm 316 stainless, or a polycarbonate tank the same size. 3.7cc capacity. Now on the inside, build in the ceramic cup (can not short a coil doing that) or on the SS deck without the cup...helpful if you need more room, but I've settled in at 1.2 ohms 27ga Rene 41 at 9 wraps, 2.2mm dia single coil. I've done duals in it with finer wire, but I've gotten over the need to fool around with more frequent re-builds. I wick with Tencel rayon, and developed a method for re-wicking in the cup. Dryburned, filled and rewicked my wife's today during commercial break!
