I got my kayfun recently, but I wouldn't recommend it;

The ones I am currently looking at are:

1: The rose
2: squape reloaded
3: taifun gt
4: expromizer

The feature that interests me the most is I want something with the simplicity of a protank, where you just unscrew upside down, refill/add more liquid, screw it back together and vape.

The kayfuns seem to be too much trouble to fill. There's a fill valve thing in the base; or else you use a trick called the topfill method which you have to do kind of skillfully, and there's the risk of dumping your juice.

Other things to look for: replacement glass spare tanks.
Easy airflow control

The Kayfuns and Russians are easy to build and consistent , reliable vapes . They would be my recommendation for a beginners RTA and they'll serve you well . There are RTA's available that outperform them at the expense of a more time consuming build and higher juice consumption , I use primarily my Rose and Heron clones , they outperform my Kayfuns but they are harder builds . You might want to check out the Erlprinz that just came out , at $40 for a genuine it looks like a pretty good deal . Erlprinz-EP-001

Ok, since nobody else asked, I will:

Do you want a single coil or dual?

Do you prefer lung hits or mouth-to-lung hits?

It's easier to recommend something if we know your preferences.

Haha I knew my post probably wasn't specific enough I mouth to lung like a ciggarette single coil is fine for this set up

For an airy draw I like the Lemo for single coil or Orchid for dual. I have a Tobeco Orchid clone and it gives an amazing amount of vapor with a very open draw. I like the Lemo because it's easy to build (very Kayfun-like) and has an open draw. Produces very good vapor for a single coil though not like the Orchid. Glass tank on the Lemo is also a nice feature since I don't have to worry about my juice cracking the tank.

For a tighter draw (mouth-to-lung hits) I still prefer the Kayfun Lite. Simple build, good flavor and throat hit, decent vapor (still waaaay more than an analog :)).

I have kayfun, orchid, big dripper, squape reloaded, pro tank, Iclear 30s... Hands down best flavor and vapor is the big dripper and the orchid each have different flavors even with the same ejuice but each is delicious all in its own ...

I have a erlkonigin and a rose coming in soon to compare too

Airflow control is a plus for me not so much the Pyrex glass tank though as I don't Vape heavy acid juices is it just the filling aspect that puts you off ? Thanks

The design problem for filling has been solved; the protanks, the aspires, and most of the tanks being used are now bottom coil; and refill is simple; just turn it over, unscrew the main tank piece and put it aside like in a cup; and you can them just top up the tank, or maybe you want to adjust the atomizer or check it or whatever.

With the kayfuns, if you turn it over, and attempt to unscrew the main outer piece from the atomizer, to separate it while the liquid is inside, the chimney becomes unsealed from the top drip tip area, and all your juice flows out.

I'm not saying it's a bad design per se, but given the wide assortment of tanks that don't have this problem, it's a big --- outdated design by todays standards.

By contrast look at the Taifun GT: You can take off the top with your expensive eliquid in it just like a protank type:

    Also possible with the squape:

Same thing with the Rose :

Same with the expromizer: in fact it looks like a big protank:

    But with the Kayfun:

You can't hold your eliquid in the top part shown on the left in the picture because it will all just drop out through the drip tip.

    Heron!

That's another one for my list, thanks.
From the picture it's obvious you can separate the tank full of eliquid from the atomizer without wasting juice.

hmm lets see.. I have a KFL+v2, Flash-E v3, Taifun w/ Immo Ceramic, Rose v2 Stumpy, and Orchid v2. All authentic besides the Orchid. If I could choose only 1, it would be the Rose v2.

KFL is tried and true. Taifun is great, but can be finicky to wick right. Flash-E has an exceptionally smooth draw, but it's ugly and can have problems keeping up with wicking on lower ohm builds. Orchid gives you loads of vapor/flavor, but eats through juice faster than you can refill it, and doesn't give you access to coils.

Not an easy choice, but the Rose has every feature you want. AFC and juice control mean it can handle any build you throw at it. The ceramic cup and tiny tiny chamber equate to the best flavor out of all of the above atties. Also, it is easy to fill and you can work on your coils without dumping. Last but not least, it looks great and has very compact form factor with the stumpy kit.

    Hope this helped!
