I am actually really interested in the rDNA from them.
How hard was it to get one?

They actually got a new batch of Black rDNA's in this week and I was able to snag one pretty quick. I called first to check on availability and I would suggest you do the same. I'm actually planning on posting a kudos on their CS folks who heard from me no less than 5 times in the last 2 weeks, lol.

190 for the rDNA seemed steep to me.

I ordered the ipv 50w for 100 bucks.

I think I'll be happy with that for what I will use it for. Thanks for the input everyone!

Got mine today and the build quality is wat beyond what i expected, glue free and it looks really good, lasted me all day without needing a charge and chucks out crazy clouds when you wack it up to 50 with a dripper. I think you'll be really happy with your purchase [emoji108]

CloudsinCrowds, you are entitled to your opinion of course but based upon your screen name I guess you chase clouds (which explains why you want a rugged, 2 battery box mod). For the vast majority of folk I meet that vape however an 18650 (vtc4) is ample enough to get through a couple days without a charge.
I used to use a Vamo v5 and was happy until i wanted coils lower than 1.2
I have had my IPV2 since 7/21 and have been super pleased. The box isn't a chunk of heavy steel and an ugly button and awkward potentiometer. It is sleek, light, and clean as a whistle.
I have used everything from my kanger mega (1.5 dual coil ) to my fogger 4.4 (dual build at 1.9) and Kaiser (single at 1.5) and even my Patriot (running .25 ohms dual twisted 28 kathal). I haven't been disappointed with anything I throw on there. If I want flavor.. BAM. If I want clouds... Yep. {The screen BTW draws a very insignificant amount of power.}

I suspect (when the sx330 version 3 100 watt version hits) you will suddenly be interested.

Interestingly enough my screen name was made long before i chased clouds and i don't really consider myself a cloud chaser. Nor do i blow clouds in crowds. I treat my vape as i used to treat my tobacco habit. i kept it away from people in public. Im just playing devils advocate so to speak. And no i do not want anything to do with a 100 watt box mod that isn't a 20 amp raptor.
In all seriousness vaping at 50watts regulated on an 18650 is no dice. Yes it is my opinion and is a strong one :) I will also admit i wasn't them most fair in my wording.
Sadly from a battery and rugged ability stand point you are far better off with a OKR based box mod even with a screen thrown in and a switch so you can see resting battery voltage and output. I mean really, it is rather silly to say that 50 watts regulated plus a screen even isn't going to cut it with a single 18650. granted it is pretty...

I don't want to jump on you. I don't mean to come off that way. I apologize if i do. I'm just saying from a day to day use stand point the 50 watt box mod IMO would be lacking heavily in user experience and convince without a twin 18650 setup. I will reiterate my point on the 100 watt device as well RAPTOR all the way, twin 18650 :)

But to each his own.
Best regards.

to the OP
I will also not argue that the IPV 50 is a beautiful device just not my speed.
Hope you love the purchase.!.

I use my ipv2 and cloupor all day on kayfun builds. I only really use my drippers for fun and tasting new juices. I like the high watt ceiling if I want to use my dripper, but for the way I use it 85% of the time one 18650 is enough for me. I could totally understand how that wouldn't work for someone else and I totally agree if you ran it at 50 all the time battery life would just suck. Not arguing just hoping to leave some insight for someone if they search this thread. And to explain what it does well and what it doesn't. Fwiw the sx330 is sooooo much better than the cloupor chip even if it didn't have 20 extra watts. So I'm happy with mine I'm sure you'll like it too OP!

A 50 plus watt box mod has to have the twin 18650 setup.or more to be honest. Without it it might as well be a paper weight.
Ipv 50 watt is a joke. It really is. The whole point behind these boxes is battery life and ruggedness all of which is lost when youadd a screen and use one battery.
Totally not true. I used my IPV2 yesterday with a .38ohm coil and vaped at 30watts. Battery got halfway down after 4 hours. So before you say that something is a "joke" maybe you could actually use one and test it out. Thanks.

I am in the market for a box mod.

Regulated. DNA30 type mods and the like, not something like an MVP.
Clone, authentic, makes no difference to me.

What's the best one that I could actually order today?

To the OP's question, I just picked up a VaporShark rDNA30 and I am totally happy. Well built, solid constructon, and well thought out. Great tactile buttons, and the skins they offer for 7 bucks are nice too. They are local for me, so I go in there all the time. Just the other day, they were having Drake Vape juice tasting...suffice it to say, I ended up dripping 40+ flavors in there. It was like a vapefest...lol.
