Hey guys I'm not sure if there is a topic on this already, but I have a Joye 510 and I was wondering if there is anything that I could do to improve my vaping experience. I use a folded PTB mod (Rho mod) but that is the only thing that i have changed in the setup.

If any of you guys have a sort of "ideal" setup i.e. specific attys, batteries, cartridges, or other things that improve the 510's vaping power, please reply!

Thanks! :D

I tried everything to get my 510 clone to work as anticipated, but everything I tried just fell short. I finally gave up and bought the Joye eGo with the 900 mah batteries, the eGo atty (mega) and the (mega) carts and now I am happy. Although it is a lot bigger, the vapor is so much better and I no longer have such a hard drawn like the 510s.

I second everyone else here that is recommending that you move up to an eGO - higher capacity cartridges & batteries. I have now switched to mods that use the 510 attys, but it was an eGO that kept me vaping in the beginning. I got tried of the short lived batteries and small capacity carts on my Joye 510, and the eGO, for not much more money, was a big step up.

I would also say to switch to an ego, I would also say to try LR Carto's as well as LR Arrty's. Some people have a better experience with either atty's or carto's. I say try both and see which one you prefer.

And as an additional note... what juice are you using, this too can make a big difference.

Lol I'm really not sure, I am actually pretty satisfied with what I've got (standard 510 setup), so maybe I don't really need to change anything haha
I was kinda just wondering if you more experienced vapers had any tips or tricks to get a better result from your 510s. I might just upgrade to the eGo eventually, but I dropped the money on the 510 already so I might as well get my money's worth =]

the best setup that i have found thus far with the 510 is using cartos. i used the atty/carts for awhile and was very dissatisfied (i think i need to try again after hearing so many others' success, however). then i did the drip tip for awhile, but that is a little annoying having to have a bottle of juice with you at all times. and forget about it if you are in the car or on the move. i finally settled and have been very content with the genuine joye cartomizers. they are kind of tricky to get the hang of refilling, and unfortunately they do leak often, but all in all, i have found that it is worth it when you get it right. i refill through the threads at the bottom as i don't really feel like messing with a syringe or taking one to work with me. also i have settled on PG liquid. i really like the joye marlb personally. that's what has worked for me and a couple friends. abut to agree with the others, i also have recently switched over to the eGo. i was at the point that i was carrying 4 510 batts, a bottle of juice, an atty, a drip tip and a couple of cartos which got a little annoying. i was originally hellbent (as many are) on the idea of it looking just like an analog, but as i got more into it, the eGo just makes more sense, and i like not looking like i'm having a real smoke. hope that helps. also, p.s.: i have heard both on this site and cignot (where i purchase most supplies) that the LR attys/cartos can short out batteries that aren't meant for them. just a heads up.

I've tried everything I know of with the Joye 510 and eventually I found what works best.

using a PCC with 2 batteries is critical to have enough battery life. It's also nice because you can hold cartos and atomizers.

Nothing on a 510 compares to dripping on a cisco 306 low resistance atomizer... NOTHING

If you don't want to drip, cartos are your best option. After tying all the BOGE, SLB, Bauway, Joye, Ce2 cartos, I think the BOGE are still the best overall.

Alright I'm just about convinced to get some cartos for my 510. Where can I get the best cartos that can be filled using the condom method (that method seems pretty quick and easy to me). I've gotten stuff from cignot before and like them, has anyone tried their cartos and refilled them using that method?

Another question I have is how long do your cartos tend to last? I've been using the same 2 attys and they haven't failed in the 3 months I've used them, I'm wondering if I can expect the same life out of a carto.

i believe they are 2.0 Ohm so they shouldn't fry your battery too fast. I doubt you would be able to fry the mosfet with those (mine never get too hot). I don't use cartos because I drip but they seem to last different amounts of time for everyone. I would say you could vape maybe 3-5 ml in one before it needs to be replaced. They are very efficient.

I went ahead and got the Joye cartos from cignot, mostly because I trust cignot's quality and the fact that they are genuine Joye cartos. Hopefully they work as well as you guys say =P

Side question, if i order the cartos as empty, does that mean that they are empty and dry? or is there some kind of flavorless liquid i will have to burn off to fill them up for the first time?

They will be dry and ready for new juice. Let us know how they work out for you.
