These have been my flavor chasers for a long time now.

Funny how they all have one thing in common.

Pontus or The Big Dripper in my opinion. The Pontus is the only tank I've ever used that has me not reaching for my RDAs. Of the Kayfun style tanks I've tried(which I believe is all of them except the Erlkonigen and the Lemo) the orchid comes in first place, Kayfun lite plus v2 clone with the dual air holes in second. All genny's tend to have great flavor, if you're willing to put up with the form factor(ie leaking when not kept vertical, occasional but rare dry hits, and the frustration of SS mesh wicking if you want to use them as intended).

So what is the Best setup for the flavor chaser?

I am not sure where to post this so Moderator pleases move it if needed

    • CLOUPOR DNA 30 with a Taifun GT Dripper
    • Reo with a R2
    • Provari with a Kayfun Lite Plus v2
    • VMOD XL Premium Kit or Other Bottom Feeder
    • Mechanical Mod with a MAGMA
    • Seven 30 DNA 30 with a THE BIG DRIPPER RDTA
    • iTaste SVD 2 with a Pontus Dripping Tank
Am I overlooking anything for the best flavor? I don’t think I will need anything over 30 watts for flavor, correct? I value the Ecf members OP.

    Thanks

I was a huge flavor chaser - from your list, I owned a SVD and a Provari (among many others not listed) and topped with RBA's, Kafun Lite +, etc. Always chasing for that elusive "there it is" with a sigh, flavor.

I found it when I purchased my first REO with RM2. I have not felt the urge to try anything else since, other than perhaps other RBA's. Everything else, other than a Kamry K101 with an Igo-L on top of it for taste testing before commiting a juice to one of my REO's, has been sold or pif'd.

If you choose to go down the REO path, I'd recommend the LP (Low Profile) version, which gives you many more choices in what you want to put on top of it.

Here's a great thread that Super_x_drifter posted yesterday which explains the differences in the different REO choices.

The CLOUPOR DNA 30 is a very nice versatile power supply. As far as flavor a dripper is probably best but then you need something for on the go a dripper is fine at home but a tank is better for at work or on the run. I like my Tobh dripper and like the RSST's or Krackens for tanks, but they can leak if laid on their side. The Kayfun is probally the best flavor + convience in a tank system. But there is a lot out there I've never tried.

    my 2 cents

Is there a Reo style Mod for less money? I have looked at the VMOD / XL, I did not think the flavor would compare to the Reo at all. I may be wrong? Also the Nipples Tree Nero V2.0.

Also the Juicebox for around $8 I am give it a try.

I would Like to find something in the less than a $70.00 range. Why is there no competition for a Reo style mod??
Would love the hear from the Reo lover out there. I am going to post this in the Reo sub forum as well, hope that is ok?

    thanks
