i bought 5 boxes of boges lr in a mix n match deal. i currently have a x8 tank from fasttech and i love it but its plastic. im wondering whether there are any tanks like the x8 which have an adjustable knob at the base to prevent the carto from sliding out.

i have found many thanks but a great deal of them require flanged cartos for them to work or are made of plastic prone to cracking.

any ideas for a tank that can be used with boge 2.0 or even with boge xl 2.0 non flanged?

thanks guys!!

Just about any tank NOT made by Smoktech can use a non-flanged carto. In fact, you can use Boge XL cartos in a Smoktech tank, but some of the cheap Smoktech tanks may not hold a carto as securely as other brands of tanks.

The plastic-tubed tanks won't crack if you don't use one of the volatile flavors known to crack or melt polycarbonate.

It sounds like you are looking for a pyrex glass tank that can use Boge cartos. (By the way, the "2.0" is the ohm or resistance rating, in case you weren't aware.)

I recommend either the IBTanked or Triple V pyrex tanks. Both will accept a Boge unflanged carto.

thanks for the suggestion. i was aware of valley vapes but i still dont get how the carto is secured (a la x8 with a knob). the pics you posted are for flanged cartos and i have the regular ones. the ones from valley vapes do seem to be for regular cartos (non flanged) i just dont understant what exactly secures them. im sure if i had one in my hand i could figure it out but alas ( perhaps pressure from the grommets?)

First of all, common sense dictates to never pick up your mod by the tank.

Second, after the tank's o-rings "settle in" on a quality tank, they will secure the tank to the carto so that with normal handling the tank will not slide off of the carto accidentally. I can pick up my IBTanked by the tank (still not recommended to do, just saying) and it will not slide off the carto, it has that snug of a grip.

The QUALITY seals in an IBTank are so tight that it just does not move or leak. Ive had some cheaper tanks and I left them behind altogether dismissing a carto tank as a good device. After Bad turned me on to these tanks, I dont use any other topper except for an occasiional dripping atomizer. My Kangers, vivis, evods, iclears etc..... are all in a dark drawer steeping along with my Juices.

I can take off a drip tip, pull the tank up a little, fill my tank, push it down and put the drip tip back on ........all at a traffic red light. Really.

If you decide to get a tank from valley view vapes I wouldn't recommend the "economy tanks". They don't use standard end caps, but instead use grommets. While they do provide a leak free tight fitting solution, they aren't very easy to work with. It's hard to get them positioned in the tank correctly.

Get one of the premium or Pyrex tanks. They all have aluminum end caps that creat a leakproof seal that fits very snug around the carto. They offer them in two sizes, 1" (25mm) and 3/4" (19mm) in standard and xl lengths. The 1" come in either Pyrex or Polypropylene and you can choose many different colors for the end caps. The 3/4" one is only avalable in polypropylene.
