Thanks again for the responses. Have really given me some things to think about. I only use the bigger mods when at home. I work 7 days a week between 1 fulltime job and 2 part-time. So not home that much except when sleeping. Married into a large family and have to work that much to keep the bills paid. Hence the need to look at less expensive options. So far it has been a wash for what I have spent on vaping and what I have saved on analogs since quitting on January 10th.

I bout 2 x Smoktech SIDs when I started and got a third about two weeks later. The first SID's control unit died two weeks ago. I am coming up on four months and the second SID has the wattage jumping around. Same as the first before the lights went out. I still have the third in a drawer unused.

I don't know about electronic components in Smoktech products being the same, but pending any electronic component differences, I am leaving the third SID in the drawer.

I just bought two MVP2s.

Ya, what p.opus said. Hang around ecf and read on, learn and ask questions. Your not getting the answers you want (I hate when that happens) but your getting information on whats best. All from people with no skin in the game, but trying to protect yours. You can still go your own way, guilt free, but you can never say you weren't told. Good luck in your decision.

I'm not a fan of the MVP only because of the 11 watt (I think) limit. Otherwise, it gets good reviews.

I don't have one, but have seen good reviews on the SVD which appears to be closer in style/function to the Vamo.

That's a pretty interesting new APV. I like that it has a 5 amp switch. Are there any reviews on it?? Is the connector threading better than the Vamo (hopefully)?

I've had a Provari for 3 years or so, and love it. But I saw the Sigelei Zmax V5 in a local shop, like it's looks (and variable wattage, as well as variable voltage), and bought one for $79 (about half Provari's price).

I'm rockin' KangerTech Mini-Protank IIs on both. Have to say, I prefer the Sigelei. Looks, functions, screen, build quality, telescoping feature, and the wattage thing actually does make a difference.

Best ecig system I've found yet. I'll never get rid of my Provari. It's built like a tank and will presumably last longer than I do. But it's my second choice now. The Sigelei V5 nails it.

Check out the Sigelei thread here that yzer frequents. The big issue with the Sigelei is that it is SUPER easy to over tighten the telescopic portion of the mod which over compresses the spring and screws up the control module. Basically if you are snugging up the tube, you're over tightening it and you will kill your baby.....If you are using the deep well cap, the battery should not extend more that 1/8 inch beyond the end of the tube, before you put on the end cap. If you are using the shallow well cap, then the battery should be no more less than 1/8th recessed into the tube.

Also the Sigelei fire button is not the most robust. I had a V3 and I've babied it and given it to a friend. We'll see how long it lasts. Another buddy of mine screwed his up by over tightening within 3 months.

Unfortunately I think the V3/V5's are a little misleading. They are built of Stainless Steel which gives the illusion of being well built, but the components are not the best. The jury is still out on the Legend and 20W

If you baby the unit you will get a year or year and a half out of it. But that's kind of my point. If you want a mod that will last longer than the batteries you buy for it, then you need to spend more than a benji. If you don't care about replacing the mod every 1 to 1.5 years, then just get the MVP. That way you are replacing the battery the same time you are replacing the mod.....

Yes, I find the biggest complaint I have is 11 watts. Especially with a Kayfun because you can easily exceed 11 watts with a Kayfun without issue. I have my Kayfuns at 2.0 ohms running around 9 watts and I get good flavor and a warm vape. But it's still on the "cool side".

if youre willing to extend your budget in $10, vapedojo have the sigelei 20w for $110, i'm a huge fan of the sigelei zmax v5 and that's a great upgrade, i think if you like the vamo you'd like this one also
and as caged mentioned, its also available for $85 from slowtech, if you're planning on vape with a new device in this summer.

I've ordered the Seven-22, it's less huge than the ehuge (3cm diameter) and is supposedly very very well build. The chip and the button is another matter. If the chip gives out, it might be possible to replace it with the newer version of it's chip the sx350 with even more watts, but time will tell.

Got my Seven-22 today and it really isn't too big for a mod at home. It's 3 cm diameter and it almost could be bigger for me to be easier to grab. Maybe it's just in the middle, not thin and light enough to hold it like an ego style mod but too heavy and not thick enough to "grab it" like a box mod or my VTR. Not that it's really a problem I really like it that it's heavy and easy to set down and won't topple easily. It's build like a tank and has a really nice finish. Only thing that annoys me is the rather sharp airflow grooves at the top ring. I sanded them down a bit.

I don't know if any of this helps you HDMontana since both the Sevel-22 and VTR are really heavy but they can be had for about $100 and I really like both of them. Well plus 2 akkus of course. Best value is still the MVP.

I've been really happy with the Innokin SVD, and Innokin products in general for the price. Some people report issues with the firing button, but mine has never had an issue. My brother has an Innokin VTR, and he loves it. I personally probably will never buy an MVP for the same reason you won't.

Whatever you do (since you have probably come across this in your browsing, or will), stay away from the KSD Kmax. It looks sexy and sells for a decent price, but it is about the shoddiest built product I've seen thus far.
