Looking for a smaller variable-wattage mod that, when topped with an iClear16 or something, totals about 5.5 - 6 inches in length.

mod should also have a battery that can be switched out.

Basically looking for something that can be discreetly carried in my shirt pocket all day, with no tank leakage.

Suggestions?

Thanks!

Most of the smaller tube or box mods are small enough to fit a shirt pocket, but they may be a little on the heavy side, too. For your criteria of having VW and replaceable batteries, the mini Zmax or telescoping ZMax comes to mind.

I use the next three suggestions, however one has a built-in non-replaceable battery (but with 2 - 3 days on a charge) and the other two are VV only with replaceable batteries. All of these fit easily in my front pants pocket, the VV Gripper is light enough to fit in a front shirt pocket too.

Quite a challenge indeed:
-variable-wattage mod
-battery that can be switched out
-5.5 - 6 inches in length.
-carried in my shirt pocket

Variable wattage, as pointed out above, may not be necessary ... variable voltage may suffice if you're not switching things around.

Whether switching batteries is necessary depends on the size of the battery. My Vision Spinner 1300 mah's get me through the day. My MPV goes for a couple of days and my Zmaxs (Z3 Telescope w/ IMR 18650 2000 mah) will get me through the day but I always carry a spare battery. I assume the Mini Z and Provari, using an 18350 battery will probably require swapping.

Most of your "batteries" are going to be 4" minimum; tanks like EVOD about 2.5" and others probably longer, so most anything you get that comes close to your criteria will probably be closer to 6.5" or longer (not familiar with the Gripper). Personally, I carry a couple of Spinners with the EVOD tanks but I prefer ProTank II mini's. The Spinner with a PT II mini is the lightest of the 3 I have but I had one in my shirt pocket, bent over and bye-bye PT II; I've switched to EVODs and everything goes in my pant pockets now. When I'm wearing cargo pants, then I may take the MPV ... just a little too tight in my jeans but might be okay in slacks. The same thing applies to the Zmax, etc. Baditudes' pic give you a really good idea of the size and shape differences.

In short, I don't think there is a simple solution to your question. I like my Zmax's the best but don't carry them around that much. If I'm going to drop or lose something, I'd much rather it be the spinner setup. The menu functions of both the Zmax and MPV are nice but once I get them set, I don't play with them that much so that may not be a significant consideration either.

Hope this helps. :2c:

As for leakage, I EVODs, ProTank II's, PT II mini' and iClear 30 that I use for various situations and really have not had any of these leak in my pockets. Just make sure everything is tight.

Itaste vv3...does everything the mvp does and it is square so it won't roll across a table.

Sent by my cat through pure magic

Thanks, was looking at it at one point.

What I didn't like? The all-in-one system. When the electronics go, you need a whole new one.. or when the battery dies its last time, you need a whole new one.

Ability to switch out batteries is important to me. Would rather spend $5-$10 instead of $35-40. Plus if I ever own more than 1 mod, I can use the same batteries for that one, as well.

Innokin does make some good stuff, though.

Wish I had bought the Itaste vv3 for my intermediate-level vaping stage, instead of what I did get earlier this year. Oh, well..

Quite a challenge indeed:

Agreed! :D

As far as I know, nobody currently makes anything for *exactly* what I have in mind. Yet.

Though I'm sure if I were to wait 6 months, LOL...

I went with the Sigelei Zmax V3 Flat-Top Telescope. It's about 4" in the 350 mode, and just a smidge longer at 490/500.

Plus 650 is always an option with a telescoping version.. :headbang:

Probably too heavy for the shirt pocket, but can do the coat thing in winter, and pants/shorts rest of year.

Not exactly what I wanted when I first went into the search some time ago, but also came out ahead in other areas.

And I think part of the industry is trending towards both VW & portability. I believe in a year from now we'll have more choices in these areas.

Thanks again, all.. And if you have further suggestions, then by all means throw them out there... Others might be reading! :)

H200 is a great little device (18350) with VV but not VW. It has all of the other features of a modern mod: decent screen, venting, protection, resistance and battery check. It is lighter and thinner than any of the other mods mentioned. It is not as flexible since it does not have an 18650 mode (tube or telescope).

Can be had at myfreedomsmokes.com

I have both the Z3 flat and round-top and I'm happy with both. Flat top was first and I was going to get a second because of the deal I got but they only had the Black chrome so I went with the SS round top. With the ProTank II sitting on the round-top, it looks like a rocket ship. :) I've got the AW IMR 18650 1600mah and 2000mah batteries but, like you, will probably pickup a couple 18350 for special occasions. Enjoy! :toast:
