Best way to clean a mod

I'm curious how y'all clean your mods and why. I'm hearing something about better connection?

Dirt in the threads in a mech mod will cause some voltage drop. A toothbrush, some warm water with soap and patience will get you far, just dry it afterwards (dry it good!).

I collect balisong knives, so I always have Benchmade BlueLube Knife Cleaner laying around. Using that with a rag and toothbrush or something alike for the threads, the mod shines like new afterwards.

I've heard high quality isopropyl rubbing alcohol and a t-shirt works well, too, but the tooth brush sounds good on the threads. Thanks for your help.

Yeah, I dont really care that much about dirt, yes there is a little voltage drop, but with a good coil it doesn't really matter much to me. I just clean it once or twice a month, works great for me
