Best way to remove firing pin?

Hypothetically.

Delrin cover off, tubing and battery removed. What's the next step?

I've removed it once before, but damaged the 510 post in doing so.

I'd expect that isn't a requirement in the removal process.

You need a flat head screw driver and a small pair of pliers . I recommend holding the center post with the screw driver and moving the female end of the center post counter clockwise

Same procedure, You should watch the rebuild video.

the little metal nipple in the plastic tube threads onto the bottom of the positive pin, holding the firing pin in place and making a solid electrical contact between the two. As the video notes it very easy to break so have a spare rebuild kit around just in case.

Is that why rob just snaps it off?

Yeap, Since you're replacing it anyways during a rebuild why hassle with it when it's easier to snap it than take it apart.

when you break it you breaking above the nipple and threads so the firing pin comes off easily.
