I recently got an old-style Bolt. When I tried to fire it up, nothing. Then I noticed there was paint on the bottom few threads. So, I only partially threaded it, and it fires up fine. Now I just need to take the paint off the bottom few threads and I should be home free.
The question is: What should I use to take the paint off the threads of my Bolt?
I've been googling a little. And, so far it looks like brake fluid would work best. I just want to make sure I only take the paint off the threads and nothing else. And, that I don't damage the threads.
Any ideas?
