Fairly new vaper here... just ordered several different sampler packs from a few different vendors. I'm curious as to the easiest & most cost effective way to try all of these different flavors without having to fill up a whole tank/clearo. I'm guessing dripping... I am currently using an ego setup with 510 threads. 1 of my batts is a twist. Which atty would you recommend for this? There seem to be about 347 different options out there...does a drip tip fit on all of them? Thanks for the help!

Hi and welcome! Dripping is by far the best way! You can drip on a regular 510 atty is you have any (I got some with my first kit, but that was a long time ago). My favorite set-up is a LR306 atty & a Cannon drip tip. You can get a Cisco LR306 & Cannon set at Cherry vape (they developed the Cannon) or individually from other vendors, like Copper Creek for less - although I'm sure they're clones - that said, I got my Cannon from Cherry Vape, but the attys from Vixen Vapor, which are probably clones too. They work fine.

A 510 drip tip won't fit on a 306, but the 306 has 510 eGo threading, so it will fit on your battery. I haven't tried the atty on this page, it's way out of my price range, but the second video and the tips below it, is the same way you would use a 306: HH.357 Long Barrel Hybrid 510 Atomizer - Avid Vaper

I use ce3's because I don't drip. These are ideal for me because they only hold enough liquid (about 1 ml) for a good flavor test and are re-usable after rinsing with water.

Thanks for the replies! A few more questions.....What resistance atty should be used for dripping?? I just read that a LR atty can be potentially detrimental to an ego style battery, true? I'm still trying to wrap my head around the whole ohms, volts, variables, etc...Is the 306 atty a larger diameter than a 510? Again, thank you in advance

LR attys are better for eGos. Even a Twist doesn't have enough voltage to get the best performance out of higher resistance. The 306 has 510 threading, but it's body is narrower than a 510, so a 510 drip tip is too fat. The drip tip for the 306 goes on the outside of the tube, not the inside like a 510 - if that makes sense.

Yes that does make sense...gotcha. I do kind of like the idea of the smaller clearos that come in a 5 pack...I had NOOOOOOOOOOOO idea when I quit smoking 7 weeks ago that I would be faced with 16.3 million options of how NOT to smoke! I dig it though, its a fun new hobby, but with all of the upgrading/new gadgets/new juice, I sure ain't saving any $$ over analogs!! LOL now I got a whole (growing) box of goods to show for it though...

And of course there's math and chemistry:

Voltage x voltage / resistance = ?
What is compatible with cinnamon e-liquid: A) Polycarbonate; B) Polypropylene

There will be a test later...

I know I'm lost when I have not a clue on a 2 possible answer multiple choice question. At the moment, BEER is the answer!

So I guess you're not going to go for the extra points essay: "Compare and contrast the uses of polypropylene and propylene glycol in the vaping community"

Slow down there cowboy, 1 at a time, a guy can only research & retain so fast ya know...Cinnamon+Polycarbonate apparently=no bueno. Actually after reading the post of potentially reactive juices, I'm almost regretting ordering several new clearos today....

I use clearos all the time, just not with cinnamon or highly acidic juices. (They will destroy a Vivi Nova too btw). That said, you could still use them, keeping in mind that they won't live long. I'd recommend a stainless steel drip tip though, drip tips tend to melt first. I got about a week out of a clearo and about 3 out of a nova before they died. I didn't know any better and was also vaping my favorite juice which I think has a sulphuric base.
