I've been out of the loop on new e-cig developments for the past year or so. I'm still using a DCT carto tank on a provari and am getting frustrated with bad cartos, flooding, and restrictive hits. I usually order in bulk and the last order I got in contained 2 whole boxes of dual coil cartos that were just plain lemons.

Anyone have any recommendations for a high capacity system that has better flavor and less maintenance than a carto tank?

I would steer away from the DCT tanks for the reasons you stated. There are a lot of better carto tanks that give great hits every time and without leaking. For example Phiniac tanks, Bella/Evolution, IBTanked come to mine. You have to punch your own holes but the holes are bigger and soak up more juice and the tanks hold more juice also. If you want to get away from carto tanks than there is always the rebuildable atty tanks but there's a lot of fiddling with those.

Another good place to get some good "laser" drilled cartos is electronicstix. They have Boge both in SR and LR in both short and long that have a laser cut hole placed in the perfect spot. These do not leak on me and I have had a good run with them. I was afraid of using them at first with all the Boge talk going around but they have been performing very well and it is my everyday bring to work vape. I am currently using either a VPX tank or a IBTanked system. I got the custom cut bottom section of the VPX so I could screw the tank all the way down on the Provari without needing a gap.
I make sure after filling them(from the bottom) to let them sit for about a half hour to an hour before use.
I have never been a fan of DC cartos except when I used to stack batteries with my Prodigy a long time ago. Even then, I found them to leak a little bit.
