So I recently started using the kangertech aerotank and love it, however my other tanks seemed lacking in airflow.

I took apart the coils of 2 of the other tanks there pretty much the same as any kangertech single coil, took out the wicking material placed on top of the coil and have much better airflow now.

Anyone else have similar experience or any thoughts?

If your other two tanks don't have adjustable airflow they probably have "pin sized" air holes. You will never get the same type of vape (as your aerotank) with these two tanks.

Hey are pretty small I'm thinking about drilling them out a bit

I drilled out the holes on my miniprotank bases to 2mm back when I used to use them.
Most of the airflow restriction was coming from the coil anyway, so having those outer holes wide open best for me
