What's the cheapest way to go beyond the eGo 3.7v experience, without buying a piece of crap?
Or to put it another way, what gives the best overall value?

I have a standard eGo kit.

eGo booster? another battery?

Not looking to go to the full extreme of Provari types (at least I think?), just something a little more warmer and puffier to get to the sweet spot.

It is even worth getting something in between, and I should just go directly to big tube or bottom feeder land?

Does this makes sense? I hope you get where I'm going. I guess I'm just not sure I will appreciate or ever even make use of an expensive, premium piece of hardware.

Thanks

Variable voltage seems to be the third stage of vaping. It definately enhances the experience. When I started, 4 months ago - there weren't many options - the Lavatube @ $120/kit or a $60 eGo booster. Since I had 2 new Joyetech batteries - I chose the booster. I am still using today when I leave the house. To be honest, it's probably the best $60 I ever spent.

At present time, there are many options & more on the horizion. It's going to be even more confusing to decide on what's your best option. Please keep in mind, the eGo Booster is for Joyetech branded batteries (3.3v) - not eGo 3.7v batteries.

I'd suggest you hold off for a month or so & get a eGo-C twist battery. MSRP $29.95 - Link

If I had to choose between bottom feeder or tube/tank I would pick bottom feeder any time. I've had more mods then I care to admit, but if I could only have one it would be a reo.

Buy a used reo grand or mini, some 1.7 smoketech single coil cartos, and some AWIMR batteries. If you honestly don't love it, I will buy it from you myself so you can buy a tube, but chances are you won't want to lol..

I have tried LR cartos, but they are not Boges. Don't know what they are - they are the ones that say "Atomized Cartridges" on the box in stars wars like letters.

I do like them, but only for some of my stronger tobacco flavours. There's something about them I don't like - I think I can taste the filler, its like they are a little musty or something. While I like the warmth, it seems they heat up so fast that you get to too hot for comfort stage all too fast.

I also have a 6 ml DCT tank. Even after I made the hole bigger, it still seems asthmatic. I know it can do more, that's why I am wondering about the volts. It kills my battery faster but that doesn't bother me too much.

The big 1000mAh would give me more capacity in the battery as I understand it but not more volts, correct me if that is not true.

Yes, I forgot all about that twist even though I took a look. Looks promising.

Side note. If you want VV, don't get a crappy cheap one. The best part of VV is pounding the hell out of dual coils, something that the lavatube and other affordable options cant do. Careful what you buy. Watch out for the amp limit, and make sure it's not something sketchy with cheap stacked batteries or something that will explode lol

can you explain amp limit a bit more or point me where I can read up on it? I am not a very up to speed on electrical engineering but I learn fast.

Do you want VV or to just try other voltages? There's always cheap 5V box mods. There's also the mods from Parkes Vaping. I have the Diamond and you can use it at 3.7v with 1x18650 battery or at 6v with 2xrcr123a batteries.

If you're handy at all, it is very easy to make your own mod. A box mod is easiest, VV is easy too. Tons of how-tos and Youtube vid tutorials on these.

hmm, I honestly don't know right now. I guess the VV is really where I am heading since I am always wondering what the different levels can do. and I am not very handy ..

if someone has one at the meet, I'd love to have try a vape on it. part me is scared to try, once I taste the milk of paradise I might not be able to handle anything else, lol

If you can make it to the Toronto meet, you'll be able to see and try all sorts of stuff. I'd do that before buying anything.
