Anyone else using one of these? I just set mine up yesterday and so far I've got some leaking coming down through the air holes that are built into it. I think the condensation of the wicks is leaking into my holes. Other than that though it's giving me some good vapor and really good flavor. I'm going to redo my wicks here pretty soon and make them a bit slimmer, but so far so good. I've only used it the the largest AFC holes so I don't know about the vape with smaller AFC holes.

You got any pics, how about a howto, I may convert my clone to a bottom feeder, I refuse to mod or otherwise mangle my authentic.

Hey Willie, all I have is my camera phone and it won't take close ups. Have you heard of Catfish Atty Mods? One of our members, Chowderhead, runs Catfish Atty Mods and does BF conversion for very reasonable rates and does excellent work. He modded my Odin for me and it's fabulous, he modded this Magma also.

So far I prefer the Odin as far as design goes. The air holes on the Magma are neat and I oooh'd and aaah'd over them at first but the leaking from the wicks/condensation is annoying. The air holes lead down and then out. The AFC is pretty easy to adjust. The coils on it came out to 1.2 ohm and I'm getting good vaper and flavor so I'm going to have to try it at lower ohms and see how it I like it. I think the Odin is a better looking atty and with just two pieces is smaller and I like that.

Over all, right now my vote is for the Odin but the Magma is a good backup.

This thread is going to be a work in progress as I tinker with this atty. Sure would like to hear from other bf Magma users who are having success with it.

I changed out the wicking material, cellucotton, and made the wicks slimmer. That stopped the leaking but the performance has dropped. Both flavor and vapor has gone down, more so the vapor. I really don't want to put any rxw in this yet because the pieces would have to be pretty long to reach the bottom of the well and I don't want to waste any.

One other thing is the draw is tighter than the Odin and I'm liking the looser draw of the Odin. I'm using the same drip tip on each atty so the DT is not affecting the outcome.

How do the Magma and Odin compare?

:pop:

Good morning, Papa.

I am waiting for my Chowderhead BF Magma. As such, I am using a Magma on a GP Paps.

The Magma has a much tighter draw than the Odin, even with the AFC ring removed. However, I give the edge to the Magma with regard to flavor. I use the Magma for my purchased vanilla custard juice. It's an excellent vape.

I use my 2 Odins for my DIY lightly flavored fruit juices. The Odin soars in that regard for myself.

Penny, I have been using 2 Paradigm Magmas. I have had excellent success with following.

- 2x coil/0.6 ohms on a mech mod.
- 1x coil/1.5 ohms on a VS rDNA at some 23 watts.

With regard to the leaking, I have removed the AFC ring on the 2x coil set-up and that has resolved any leaking issues for me.

With regard to wicking, I use Koh Gen Do pads on both Magmas. In either coil configuration, I only use enough cotton to allow the wicks tails to touch the base of the juice well.

I was going to ask you what you are using for wicking and if you are having any leaking, so thanks eratik! Yeah, I may as well just take the ring off, I don't need it and if it helps with leaks all the better. I received some Ko Gen Do with a purchase I made in the classifieds and promptly lost it somewhere in my house lol! I set it down and a bull frog must of come and snatched it. :D I want to try it so bad lol!
