When you said you couldn't get it to touch base, I thought you meant you couldn't get it to make contact with the pin before the atty was bottoming out.

@Boobsley is spot on. Just loosen the insulator a bit to lower the pin. You can add a little o-ring around the flange of the insulator if you like.

Definitely shouldn't be getting any arcing on the side of the mod. That doesn't make sense to me. Positive end of battery should be up, btw. :thumb:

This thing is on TIGHT! Aaand my toolbox is at my parents house after moving, i don't have the best tools to remove it. Would just pliers get it off? Or am i missing something?

I've had positive up the whole time, I have no idea how it would arc there either.

In other news, i might give trying to build a 3d print squonk box a shot.
I don't exactly have much experience in the area but I've been doing some research and seems like it could be a fun project

Hm, i don't think i can tighten it in anymore, this atty is maybe 1mm off being flush.

It's only temporary anyway, but it has been causing some arcing on top of the mod, and i've got a small dot on the side of the mod near the atty as well.

I've cleaned the arcing off, is that normal to get arcing on the actual mod itself?

I've read Noalox can help with this, haven't been able to find it in australia.
Is something like this a good substitute? H1630 - Chemtools 50g Carbon Conductive Grease - Altronics
Is your battery wrap all intact? Are there any cuts in it? That would certainly cause an arc and possibly more!!

Good point, Mike. :)

That's why I wanted to make sure he had the + side up. With the + side up, the body will be negative, as would the case of the battery. Should there be a bare spot, while not desirable,...it would just be neg. to neg. contact. If the battery were + side down in this scenario, it would be a big problem.

At first glance, I didn't notice the plan to denic cigarettes... o_O

I hate cigarettes, but I hate freedom being limited, more. :(
I'm with ya. If I were still a smoker, and it looked like they would really go through with that, I'd consider stocking up on nic base, 'cause I don't think it would be real hard to re-nic a de-nic'd cig. But I'm not sure how serious they are about actually doing this, or if it's just cover, so that the ANTZ won't completely lose their minds due to the delays in the other regs.

I like the way you think, Ross. :)

I hope that's the case. Prohibition doesn't work. Only creates black markets and resentment. People need a viable alternative that they can choose voluntarily, without the government trying to force them to quit.

Let's hope that we continue to be that alternative. :toast:
