There's something about my first Ti CC that is very special. It has been my ADV since I received it over 18 months ago and has never missed a beat, despite being carried everywhere (and dropped once or twice).

I'm about to do a very difficult thing and send it back to Corey for some TLC. I can't quite imagine being without it, even for a short time. I've even kept its baby photos:

Oh yeah! :w00t:

Goodness, what can it possibly need that would justify an antipodal journey?

The top cap has been taken on and off so often, the magnets in the top cap have lost some of the plating and are a bit rusty. The result is the fit of the top cap is no longer seamless and it doesn't look quite so pretty when I'm showing it off. So it's going in for shiny new magnets. Still fires flawlessly, which is one reason it's so difficult to let it go, even temporarily. It's lucky I have a second Ti :D

Listening to Steppenwolf has made me all nostalgic. I wasn't quite Easy Rider in my youth.

She's looking gorgeous, isn't she? Tracking furiously here :D

Sorry I caused you to swear, Corey  I do thank you from the bottom of my heart for bringing her back to her original gorgeousness

I suspect the magnets in the top cap may have had the plating damaged when I dropped her down rocks. That resulted in a (very) slight dent on the top cap, just where it meets the body, so there would have been a lot of horizontal force on the magnets. And the result, many months later, was this:

Luckily, while I wait I have Ti #2 still looking absolutely pristine:
