It was a .3 build[emoji6]Thanks for that, Doffy. I'd like to know the resistance of the build in that atty though....

LOL -- in a previous life (~20 years ago) I used to design power supplies for industrial furnaces. The produced thousands of amps. The output was AC, not DC, but hey...
Wonder if you just rounded off the sharp edge of the inlets a bit by sanding them if that would get rid of the whistle. The torpedo shaped sanding bit for the dremel would be perfect. Then buff smooth...CeeCee is testing a Thump... she liked the Stumpie she had on before but the top air holes of the Thump seem like a good ideal for an over squonker like me. Great flavour and good cloud production but is this Thump noisy! Oh wow that initial whistle and noisy airflow is going to be annoying!

Yeah it's a risk with your $80 atty if the sander jumps....wouldn't be hard though and you'd be able to use wide open.I'm not really allowed to play with power tools... but I did get a Dremel not so long ago to open my Cyclone's air holes... but I if I close the air holes off just a little and change the drip tip to a wide bore it's a million times better!![]()

Anyway, do you like the thump? All the top flow attys I've ever tried just don't produce the flavor for me even though people raved they did. Love the top flow for squonking, no leaks ever. Still just hesitant.
If all this is true the cc will be a backpackers dream...
I can't fully explain why that is specifically but I think its the truth!!!
If weight in your pack is of concern, you will find the aluminum to be a great choice.

On the other hand, if you want something you can slip into a sock and kill a marauding bear with, go with the brass![]()
