Question regarding brass...say that I wanted to let mine naturally patina, and a long time from now decide I want the original look of the brass...can the patina be undone via scotch brite pads and renaissance wax? Or if I want to maintain its original glory does it need regular upkeep?

Welp,...all the parts are made, hand fit, mods tested, disassembled, and I'm 'bout to start the hand finishing...

I guess I'll get my woody set up and use it at home. Been trying to sell it off for a good while now with no hits. No woody love out there. Problem is I'm just not home all that much. And my CC and either a Reo or a Peko travel with me to work each day. Always a CC, but trade off others and sometimes take 3 mods to work.

If I didn't live at work, I'd be in the same boat. I'm lucky in many ways that my "only-at-home-mod" is also my "at-work-mod." I've never taken it out of the camp...though sometimes I'd love to have it hiking with me, and often wonder why I'm so picky (to be honest I've never so much as dropped a mod while hiking, ever) - but, it stays home for now. When I get CC, that'll be my backpacking/hiking mod, a REO may tag along as unnecessary backup though.

How is it that I never have dropped or scratched a mod while hiking, yet I drop a mod almost every day at home

The only place I've dropped a mod is right here at home also. I've knocked them over when out, but never a real fall. And at home, my floors are laminate over wood floors, except the kitchen which it tile. I've dropped a couple onto my wood floors, but nothing serious.

Mine go through Hates in a hand basket.

Though I expect my CC to endure as did my Copper pictured above.
