whats with everyone doing the unflavored thing??? what am i missing? do you guys just not like things to be tasty? or is it a money thing? i dont get it
Try this guys: Fill your bottle with unflavored. Drip in some flavored juice from the top. Vape it, and squonk in unflavored as needed to keep your wick wet. Drip in more flavored juice when you think you need it. I bet it will take a lot longer than you think. After trying this like a year and a half ago, I promptly started cutting my "ADV" flavored juices up to 50/50 with unflavored.

No, it's not about the money, at least no for me, and I would suppose not for anyone who's buying Corey's mods. What it's about for me is reducing my exposure to the dozens or in some cases hundreds of different chemicals that make up our flavors. Yeah, we know they're all safe for ingestion, but ingestion is not the same as inhalation. In fact, we know there are serious concerns about the safety of some flavoring components (particularly diketones) when they're inhaled. Whether any of this will ever cause anyone any problems is the subject of much debate, but why use more of something that might be problematical than you actually need?

Oh, and I find that lightening up on the flavors actually reduces what I'll call flavor fatigue.

That's a great idea Rossum. I'm going to try this. I do love the flavors BUT...you've got some good points there.

I do the same. It's surprising how much flavor there really is in 'designer' juices.

This is true. Wakonda no longer have me almost immediate "flavor fatigue" once I started doing this.

Also, you get less coil gunk.

Agreed. My concoctions are all about 6% flavoring.

I began to use nic base about one month into my Vaping career and I thank god I found it because just the smell alone of flavored juice about activates my gag reflex.

I vape to replace smoking. I eat to replace donuts and candy and I never liked the taste of a tobacco leaf if I accidentally got a shard in my mouth from a cig fetched from a pack in the dark.

I'd pay whatever to vape nic base. Ain't about price.

But I (and my vape gear) do revel in the fact that there's nothing in my juice but nic, VG and a spot of pg.

I now, after hearing words of wisdom from another here, refrain from calling it unflavored. The nic and ratio I run resemble a Marlboro light or at least my recollection of what they taste like. I'm working my way thru the 2nd liter of 24 mg (that I now cut in half with VG) that I bought from WL about 2.5 years ago. It's good sh it.

I've since switched to MFS cause of their glass liters and they have been in cryostorage for years.

And if it weren't for my man Russ right here I never would have known the joys I'd find in good old nic base ;) thank you brother!

Last night it was 13 degrees and I was camping. My mod sat in a sunglasses case beside of my sleeping bag. This morning I woke up to find my mod very cold and the 96%vg nic base thick as the thighs of a llama in high country. Guess what? The new Italian bottles squonked that thick cold VG like a champ.certainly harder than normal but nowhere near as hard as the same situation in an old 6ml bottle.

Yep to me that was a good test and it passed with flying colors. Love these bottles. :thumb:

I've been on unflavored more than 2 years now. It just happened out of the blue tried it for a week and couldn't go back. I tried to go back but all flavors seemed bitter to me. I threw my flavored eliquids (about 2kg worth) thinking it has gone bad, bought new flavored ones, stillbitter. So i knew it it is a curse that coincidently saved me a lot of money and maybe maybe additional health risks.

unflavored rocks. It's a lot nicer to my coils and wicks so I figure it's gotta be better for my lungs. I vape some flavored (my lady likes it but she vapes <1ml a day) but if I really need *something* I'll grab some straight menthol. We've been inhaling menthol for centuries now and no one has seemed any worse the wear for it.

I don't have a custom classics CC but I do have a chris creations CC and I wish I could afford one of the guns in this thread but I seem to blow it all on vape gear (probably couldn't even buy Rossum's old rusty revolver) so, without adieu, here's my CC with a weapon (the pen is mightier than the griptillian?):
