Well I had to stall the family and make them wait till the mail came, then I sent my wife to intercept the postman down the block and get my package before I would take them shopping but I finally got it in my grubby lil hands :) out shopping now with the family but I got a chance to check the mod out a little.... this thing is worthy of breaking out a brand new chalice, polishing it up to match the button and then perma-parking it on this thing... either that or doing the same with a new polished up nuppin.... honestly I don't think anything less would do... hmmm decisions decisions :)

Pics and thoughts on the mod a bit later but suffice to say, so far I'm very impressed :)

Well, I have to agree with everyone else here, this CC mod is just awesome/perfect/beautiful. I had an idea as far as what to expect but now that I have it in my hand and I've vaped it...worth* every* single* penny*. I've been reading the comments about how it hits harder and it's true. I think I'm going to have to build over my typical .5 ohm preferred builds because it's a tad bit to warm for my liking. I like the weight of it, I love how it looks, I freaking love the design with everything being attached to the top which simply lifts off and I love how it vapes. You've got a winner Corey and a new fangirl. :D

And one with my new outfit....

And I just have to post one more so I can make special mention of the copper drip tip, yep copper. Love me some copper. Copper.

Love it Corey!

That's why you need 2 CCs, ALuinum for the Chalice and Brass for the Brass Nuppin

Looks like ol' Bob was right..........had to have the wife chase the postman down the block to get it.... You really can't trust a Brooklyn postman.

:D

Glad you got it, buddy. :)

Sounds like you've got your priorities straight... Take care of the family first. We'll be here...:thumb:

Yup, plain ("euro") P7, which many incorrectly refer to as a "PSP", as opposed to the somewhat americanized P7M8.
I like mine very much.

What's not to like? OK, they get a bit warm after 4-5 mags through, and pretty dirty after a few hundred rounds. They're a bit heavy by modern, plastic gun standards -- kinda like a brass or copper CC mod. But even so, there's still no other 9mm I've come to like better and I've tried more than a few.

As a fellow member of the small chamber minority, I'll say: An O16 might not totally inappropriate either.

well no time to mirror polish an atty to match the button, but I just stuck a stock chalice on there and it's vaping fine, really like the soft button press, really like the way it feels in-hand. when I first seen these I thought the sharper lower edge may be a concern but after holding it and using it I can see that's a non-issue because it's so short that my pinky fits flat to the bottom, not just on the edge as it would have had it been a little taller . overall fit and finish is just as I always thought from the pics I've seen, nothing short of perfect. pressing the magnets in was brilliant and the amount of side-to-side play in the magnet locating pins is almost non existent, really lending towards maintaining the seamless look.

the machining is very impressive, even the internals are mirror smooth and the precision and uniformity in the wall thickness, rounding and centering of everything is really spot on, so much so that this looks more like a cnc'd thing instead of a hand machined piece. overall it's pretty much flawless, I'm def impressed with how perfect everything is right down to the tight tolerances and precise centering of everything, only way you can even tell that it's not cnc'd is when flipping the cap on backwards placing the bottle in the battery hole, then and only then can you see that it's not cnc'd, although even there, it's still extremely close to being perfectly symmetrical. I can def see that Corey takes great pride in his finished product, for a hand machined piece it's extremely impressive

here are a few not so much glamour shots as the atty finish doesn't match anything yet, but here she is in all her glory, yeah I'll be carrying her around with me for the next while to see how she fairs in daily use, it's no secret that I'm really not much of a mech kinda guy, but the very soft button press and very consistent hitting of this thing so far makes me believe that this thing might just be the exception to the rule... will see how she does after some use and contact maintenance starts to enter the equation. that and hopefully the cap retention winds up being good enough to not become a pet peeve of mine when pulling it from a pocket or dropping it from time to time. so far the cap retention does seem to be very secure even with just the magnets. normally I'm the kind of guy that wants everything bolted together solidly enough that it ain't going to come apart no matter what, but this thing is so small and light and the cap retention seems to be so good that this too may not be an issue for me at all. overall I really like this thing so far, I'll say it again, I'm very impressed :)

Wow! :D

What a great write up! I'm really happy you like it, buddy. :thumb:

Looks great with the chalice on there. The fancy Italian squonk bottles really take these things to a whole 'nother level, no???

Hopefully, it'll continue to keep a spot in your daily rotation. Please do keep us posted as you spend some more time getting to know it. The size, weight, the feel in hand, and the dead simple mechanics of the thing, for me at least,...is hard to beat.

I'm just really happy you like it, my friend. :)

also really loving the 7068, normally anything brushed aluminum, especially with a fine brushing like this one has, would start to show micro scratches right away just from handling it a bit but the 7068 is so hard that even rubbing it and wiping fingerprints from it doesn't seem to effect the finish one bit, the finish will hold up so much better than 6061 T6 and it should also go a long way in helping keep all the corners and edges remain nice and crisp. normally I'm not too much of a fan of aluminum for these very reasons, but now this 7068 has enlightened me to an aluminum that I actually do like :) really wish I could get my hands on some 7068 now, really a big difference, I mean it sure as hell ain't no titanium but man it really is that much closer to Ti than what I'd normally associate to just an average aluminum :)

Yep 7068 is definitely the best way to go in currently available aluminum! You're right it's not Ti but it's fairly close ;) Not cheap but it is obtainable :)
