Question... has anyone gotten there CC mod of distinction Cerakoted??
If so I was wondering how it came out and opinion on wear factor. I just ordered a second mod for my lady and she likes color. Personally I like the look of plain aluminum, classy, clean look, hides scratches & wear. I'm thinking even though Cerakote is supposed to be durable that any accidental drop ,scratch, eventual wear on edges & bottom etc. would stick out like a sore thumb if one was OCD.
Any opinions?

I really like the look of cerakote! Some really cool colors available. I don't have any personal experience with it.....yet:D From what I've been told by some knowledgable people is that the harder base metal it is applied to the more durable the cote is. FWIW :)

i have ceracoat on one of my aluminium mods. it has chipped on the edges and where the button goes. i mean tiny tiny chips. i believe its because it was the softer aluminum. i love the color and the finish feels great. but the last mod i ordered from the same place i had it made unfinished bare metal.

I'm a fan of the bare metals, personally. If you get a scuff or scratch, you can just take a fine scotch brite or bear-tex pad, and make it look like new again in minutes. Not so much with coated metal. :2c:

Great minds think alike!
That's the reasoning I was planning to share with the little lady. Good thing is that I will be getting mine first so she will be able to see it in all it's naked glory! She doesn't know I ordered her one for Xmas so I'll be able to get her feedback before hers is made.

I'm very impressed!! Love the easy firing and excellent finish work!! Use of the silver pad on the firing mechanism really increases the conductivity! Hits like a large truck;):D Thanks so much Corey!! Really happy with her!!
