Looking to get some batteries but not sure what ones to get. I've had the 2500 sams. for a good while (ordered from a co-op). Got 20 of them but just about ready to give up the ghost. I'm thinking the LG HG2 20 Amp 3000 Mah should do nicely. I only build for about .5 ohms these should give plenty of head room so what do ya'll think?
I've heard nothing but good things about the HG2's. I like you had a bunch of Sammie's and vtc5's. About time to start looking for some more batteries;)
I hear that LG is getting ready to discontinue the HG2's and replace them with a new battery. Also heard that there are some counterfeits around sooooo know your supplier.

Early day home for me! Only cost me a little flesh at the dermatologist...

I don't know how you do it Corey. Each one I get amazes me more than the last...

So, does it balance on a steering wheel? (Important info to have...)

Yep!

Feel good in the hand?

And look at that baby shine!

For me, the weight is perfect, right there with the copper. I've always had a thing for heavy gadgets; I feel like it's an indication of quality. I'm digging the "different to me" squonk hole too! Man, this thing is cool.

Thanks again Corey, you ROCK! :headbang:

Now I'm off to build a Stumpy...

Woot!!! :w00t:

Lookin' good, my man!!!

As of right now, the HG2's are the way to roll. Illumn is the spot for not only price but authenticity as well...;)

No afternoon cocktail today as we're ( see I'm) driving back to the city tonight. I guess I'll just have to suffer through with iced coffee and banana cream pudding loaded Brassy. A fine complaint to have...:)

I'm not in a position to take good pics right now (too much else going on) but my SSCC is here!

It's definitely a bit darker than the 7075 it's sitting next to and has a very unique hand-feel!

Very, very cool mod!

I have to agree with you Ross, all of the CC's feel wonderful in hand, but there's something special about that SS.

Welcome to the Quinary Club good sir!

Chrissys new bike! This morning we geared up for a long ride. Her on her mountain bike, me on my hybrid. I told her right before we left this would be the longest ride she's ever been on, and it's all roads. She's a trooper, but I could tell she wasn't happy at the news. So we rode down towards the gate to our property and I veered off to a storage building and stopped. Had a sign posted congratulating her on the door. She looked confused. Opened the door and she flipped out when she saw it...

We rode 45 miles and she is so happy  it's all carbon fiber so very fast. But I'm in awesome shape  so on my hybrid I more than kept up...one day perhaps she will be faster than a sloth, though :D

So, the pic is take 2. First take, the cc fell off the bike and SLAMMED on the ground. Top flew off. Put it back on, auto fired. The firing pin had bent like crazy. Took a wrench and loosened it, bent it back really good, and now back to the heavenly :vapor:

Her bike is rock star but my CC is in a league of its own :rickroll:

A bargain basement 19.5hp B&S powered Craftsman... I ride it hard and put it up wet, like most everything I own, lol. I bought it about 8 years ago and torture the hell out of it. It insists on working though which prevents me from upgrading, lol. Two acres every weekend and countless amounts of abuse from towing that trailer full of .... which it has no business towing. I'm trying to kill it, I really am - it just won't die.

ROTFL...Look what I started, CC men and their mowers! ( Gott'a be a Discovery Channel show in there somewhere) My matching trailer shows up next week. Can't wait to tow a whole bunch O'sht I'm not supposed to either...:p

i walk behind my mower - but i walk at work all day anyway.

When i was at uni, i shared a flat with a total cycling and fitness fanatic and i'm not idle, but nor am i a madman.
This guy bought a carbon fibre framed bike (Reynolds i think) and it weighed about 10 pounds compared to my crappy old 10 geared beast, that was a hefty 30 pounds or so.
He had pedals that the soles of your shoes clipped into and all the gearing.

That setup cost 1900 quid. We'd ride maybe 3 times a week when our schedules coincided until i discovered that a brand new motorbike cost only 1700 quid and now the only time i pedal is on an exercise bike just to irritate HRH ( she'll do some diet thing and pedal 5 miles, and i'll pedal in reverse to reset it :) ).

Sorry I've been scarce, this evening..... Once I finally got home from "work".....

.....I had to tear into a much anticipated package, from a good friend..... ;)

Much inspection has been going on, here...

Lemme just say that I'm very impressed with the quality, and consistency of the new parts.... :thumb:

Toolless atty adjustment, integrated o-ring, smooth nippoh.......

Our favorite Bee was gracious enough to allow me to have some input on these, in the early design phase, and they work flawlessly, right outta the box. :D

These are American made, precisely machined, super consistent, and a damn fine example of craftsmanship, and great design.

Big thanks to Peter and Marcus for making this happen! :toast:

Ohh, I almost forgot to toot my own horn thank you Corey for the awesome timing! 5/20 was my 2 year vaperversary! ;)

You really are top notch, thanks!

ETA: I just got to thinking about it and I want to be clear, I do mean it; thank you. Without people like Rob and you, I couldn't have done it, so thanks...genuinely.

Now with the mushiness aside... what other cool metals can we get a CC in? Damascus steel maybe? :D:thumbs:
