To be on the safe side,...I'm taking .010" (ten thousandths of an inch) off the diameter of the flange, while I've got 'em here. Much simpler for me to do it on the lathe, than for someone to have to try and do it without one.

You use the tool from the underneath side, to drive the old 510 up and out.
Then, Use it to install the new one from above...
Make sure and use an o-ring in the 510, as BobC pointed out, to insure that the tool doesn't lockup on the 510.

I do enjoy your pichurs, you get some great shots of mods gone wild, but was thinking more along the lines of being someone who enjoys and appreciates the outdoors.
