I apply 2-3 new layers of Ren wax every single time after scotch brite. Because once you hit the
mod with the pad, you'll effectively polish off any previous layers, and expose the metal to the atmosphere. I do this once a month.
As for No-ox-Id, I apply on 4 surfaces:
1) the interface between the top section and the body
2) on the silver positive contact
3) on the silver negative contact
4) on the positive and negative ends of my
batteries.
Once in a blue moon, I do take my silver negative contact out to give it a little polish. In that case, I dab some no ox id on the
threads at the base of the CC, where the negative end screws into.
