Parallel single coils will give you a better ramp up and cool down. Also placement of the coil can be tricky due to the drip tip protruding into the chamber but try to place the coil up some so the bottom of the coil get some air, this will improve cooling. I've found if the coil is too low the vape stays hot.

With a clear cap you can see the coil in relation to the air slots, you can adjust your heat some by lowering or raising it to suit your personal preference.

Yep. I'ma go ahead an' say my coil's too low... I've got the single parallel coil goin' on, but I think I need to go maybe 2.5mm ID, and raise that sucker up a little. And, of course...... trim them tails. :D

Love that cap, btw... :thumb:

MIP.....good stuff. I have the same one. :thumb:

Been gone for a while, still loving my CC! Five or six mods have come and gone since I got it, and it's the only one I have now that I know is staying :)

I've steam engined your build and it came out to .25 ohms with that 2mm id. I think that's pushing your wicking pretty hard and would be a really hot vape so I could see why you didn't like it.

When I ran these in Kanthal it was a 28G single parallel coil 6 wraps over 2.5mm mandrel to get around 0.5 ohms. From what I've read, different people run these from .35 to .7 ohm with good success.

I've switched to 316L SS and don't run a parallel coil due to the characteristics of that wire. I wrap for a "cold" .35 ohms that when heated the ohms rise to around .5 for a similar heat index of Kanthal. That build is a 24G single 316L coil wrapped 8 times around a 2.5 mm mandrel to get that .35 ohms cold.

So maybe try shooting for a little higher in ohms using a bigger ID and experiment with the coil height, I think you will be surprised at the difference.

This week's batch is a little light in the arze, so it will allow me to once again get caught up on the backlog of small parts. :thumb:

And, maybe,...just maybe......work on the Jeep a little.

:D

Both are 316 Stainless!

Got my Odis NarDa Slam Cap today, polished Ultem. I am in LOVE with this thing. FTR, it's obviously a NarDa clone, but the fitment is absolutely perfect. The flavor is unreal and its damn sexy, if I may say so ;)

The matchy itch has been scratched (real good too)...at least for a little while :D

EDIT: I didn't try to make it so you could, but you can see my build through the air slot :p

28 gauge Ni80, 6 wrap, parallel, .41

Thanks, Marcus. :)

I'ma go ohm that build, here in a few minutes, just for fun. I bet you're right on the money, though. Too dang hot!

I must confess,....I found the build I like, in almost any atty, really early on,....so I've just kin'a stuck with it. Playing around with other builds here and there, but always goin' back to what I'm used too. Which, btw,...I'm perfectly happy with,...so I'm not really sure what exactly I'm chasin', here...
