I smoked Salem for 35 years then American Spirit (reg and menthol) for the last 10 years. When I first stopped I went to fruits. Then I learned about NETs and then how to extract. That's where I am now, extracting my own pipe and American Spirit tobacco.

I do always have a menthol with me in a third mod/atty. Recently it's been unflavored with menthol added. A NET buddy sent me some of his Chai tea extract so, this weekend I'm trying my first tea extracts.

Started out at 24 mg. Now at 12 mg with no real plans to go lower. 70PG/30VG.

I've been all over the spectrum, started with tobaccos, then bakeries, then tobaccos, then unflavored. 50/50 then went to like 97%VG unflavored for 6 months or so. Then back to 50/50 tobaccos. Now 50/50 unflavored and tiramisu :D

Went down to 3mg for a while, then 4 and back at 6 now. I like my nic. If I did higher though I'd probably get sick. At 6 I find myself nic sick sometimes if I haven't eaten enough.

I just wish I could find a juice that I could vape regularly, that doesn't end up causing me more frustration than it's worth...

I've tried lots of different high end stuff, but everything I like has me changing out wicks twice a day...

I have, once again, come to the conclusion that unflavored is most likely the only route for me. :(

Time to start making your own! Much cleaner on your coils.

I actually have a bunch of flavors that I got a few years ago, when I thought I wanted to try that. I found out pretty quickly that I suck at it.

A man has got to know his limitations! :rules:

If you can make Kool-Aid, you can make juice.

Love ya brother, too much to let you limit yourself from one of the great joys of vaping :)

I've been at it for a year, now, and the only juice that tastes good is other peoples' recipes. Thankfully, there are lots out there. I thought I would be really good at it because I'm a cook (well, I have been a cook, and I do cook), but turns out I'm super picky about my juice. And sadly everything I like gunks up the coils somthin terrible...

First bit of advice I always give people who want to try mixing:

Mix your flavors at standalone first. Start with half the amount they recommend. You can always add more in tiny increments. Why? If you really learn that flavor, you will know what it brings to the table in multiple-flavor recipes. You will also know what percentage becomes "too much" for your tastebuds. Even though you will most likely dump it after you figure out that percentage, it sure is a whole lot less than dumping out failed attempts over and over.

When you cook, you know how much black pepper is too much. You know what black pepper tastes like. Same with nearly every ingredient that you cook or bake with. You can't depend that the name of the flavoring is accurate to your tastebuds. Same concept that not all peppers are hot.

I hope this makes sense and that it helps someone who has tried, or is interested in trying mixing their own juice.

Im about to start stocking up on nic and flavors, i figure a gal of 100mg will last me and my fiancee 10yrs if it becomes unavailable and would be great to barter with. I was gonna order a small amount of nude armor from nude nicotine and try it. We are really picky about juice and the nic that is used. Any suggestions?

I agree with this completely, and the fact that we use squonk mods helps tremendously. I get flavors and mix them stand-alone at the upper end of the recommended percentage range to start with. I then drip a few drops into an atty with a bottle of unflavored in the mod and learn that flavor, and how much further I can dilute it. After I get a feel for that flavor, if I think it might go well with another, I might drip a a few drops of the other one as well to get a feel for ratios. This is unscientific, but it works for me. :)

I can make a decent enough single flavor juice, I think I'm just too picky.

Always seemed like something wasn't right. I just have surprisingly little patience when it comes to these things.

I don't think I even have one...:(

I like some tobacco flavors, I just cant stand what they do to my wicks. After 10 or 20 pulls, I'm already wanting to change the dang things...

Unflavored is just much easier to deal with.

I'm thinking the tone of my statement came across wrong. If you don't want to DIY, I can accept that. Many people don't. It was the "can't" part that I disagreed with. How many mods did you make before you were happy with the product? I'm guessing it was at least a few. What if you had said "I'm just not good at this" and not pursued it?

Penguiness and Rossum have some great advice there. I'll throw in test each of your base ingredients individually (dilute the nic first of course) and see if the "something off" is coming from an individual component.

Going through this now with kitc liquid.

One day in the snappy and the cotton is ruined.

Cereal killa is one of the cleanest liquids I've vaped. (Not the best but keeps the cotton fairly clean)

Well.

About 5'9"
240 lbs for the last decade and a half

But the weight keeps moving south

The age of an old bull.

But the fat content of ready to slaughter veal.

So probably tasty yet a little on the tough side if I'm honest.

Can't is too strong a word. I can hardly believe I used the "C" word...

"Don't have patience for" would be a better way to say it.

I went whole hog into DIY about a year ago. I had some luck with other people's recipes but my own were dismal and I sold all my flavors. I'm settled on my extractions which really do gunk up coils. I dry burn/rewick everyday when I get home which is fine by me.
