While not what you were going for, I like it.

There is grain in the original so it is what I was going for I was talking more about the pixelation on the graininess I should've clarified

You have a valid point P and I've tried it that way too, but that third coil brings out extra flavor.

Hey DB, finished my rendition of your build I wanted to try

Went with the triple coils but used 26G Kanthal, 7wraps each, 2.5mm ID to yield 0.29 ohms for me

I agree, wicking and airflow seemed to be the key to this build, left enough tails for juice and some room for the air to flow.

I had to trim the 2 vertical coil wicks a tad lower after I placed the topcap on it but I got to admit, I really like this build for me Just the right amount of heat and vapor production to suite my tastes with fairly decent flavor, which should get better after the wicks break in some more. Might fine tune the vertical coil positions yet to see if raising them or lowering them will affect the flavor a bit more but overall Im quite pleased with it



After trying a ton of builds on this last night including numerous failed attempts at using that coil rake gadget for pancake coils, I gave up and went back to the slanted duals everybody likes and rocked that for the work day today

I just want to thank you both for the suggestions and helpful tips in helping me find a build I like on this RDA

So this is the pancake rda? It looks really interesting I'm guessing it's very expensive. Who makes it?

What's everyone doin' for Thanksgiving?

We're stayin' in town. My folks don't live too far from us, so we'll be spending a good part of the day with them.

I'm really looking forward to it.

So my sister just had her brain surgery for the Chiari malformation and unfortunately it didn't go well. she almost died having the second extensive surgery. I refuse to do it. Afer seein her otcome
Ill manage synptoms. Seems like they have no idea how to correct this without seriously endangering your life and all it dies is manage synptoms. There is no cure. Firtusntely im regressed so i habe a few more years befire surgery would be waresnted beyind the typical take out osrt of the skull minor surgery.

This one was where they insert some kind of sheep intestine or something to try to hold the brainstem up. She ended up needing three brain surgeries in the course of a week due to trouble after troubke. she got really sick and had a fever of 105 and was in ICU for three weeks with blood clots in her brain.

I'm not close with her so no condolences on her condition needed. she's been a good guinea pig for me to decide whether I will get my Chiari surgery and the answer is no.

However that means my one family member in the United States and my mother is not going to be here for Thanksgiving. So given the break up and most of my friends living in other states and countries it looks like I am spending Thanksgiving alone.

However that proposition got a lot better now that I have my baby with me I don't mind the day with her with nobody else at all so I will go and get us to give her some special dinner. The. I am going to volunteer st the shekter over the weekend as much as i can. If i can walk one pal its worth a try. I also signed up for a small monthly donation there. Even if its really tight here now i will give up some vape gear and donate to the buddies in need. Hard to jsutify soending $200+ on vape stuff one day and not $200 a year donation to the biggest no kill shelter

I was thinking about what I'm thankful for and well there's a pretty tough time in my life right now I am very thankful for the fact that that shelter existed and gave me my best friend and I really do need to get back now that I can't be there photographer full-time.

I have to eat "soft foods" for a few more days, til' the stitches come out

Where are you located that you need to Skype? I often Skype for a holiday get together's but Thanksgiving is a big in England LOL though hilariously Black Friday is now huge there


I'm trying to stay up on this thread so bear with me while I get caught up and then I'll be checking it every day because I like all you guys so much I want to make sure I stay up on the conversation and here it's so good plus your pet lovers which is outstanding considering they're the best thing life has to offer that doesn't involve humans and often in cases even when involving humans

Should of explained this a little better like I did earlier in the thread. The thin o'ring under the cap raises the single coil intake above the curb of the deck just enough to allow extra airflow to hit that center coil while still allowing the rotation of the cap to dial in a tighter draw and also without sacrificing noticeable flavor either throttled or wide open.

I am running mine raised too, but like the look without the o-ring Kinda balances out with the ring groove up top for a more symmetrical look

I like the pancake. Really think the central coil mount is useless for a 3rd coil without a solid air feed for it though.

When you raise the top cap up slightly like DB suggested, you will be able to use the 3rd air slot in the top cap to directly feed air to the center coil too (albeit from one side and not directly in front of the coil) but it works like a charm with the 3 coil build and made a nice difference in flavor and airflow.

Most anything titanium is always going to cost a bit more and no, with the PC, what you see is what you get.

As Penguiness mentioned, keep an eye out in the classies as they do pop up quite a bit cheaper from time to time. Brent "Ohman" Fells is the man behind the design.

If you google Pancake RDA you will find many vendors that carry them. Not sure about a non-Ti version. They come up in the classifieds here from time to time so if your not in a rush to score one right away picking one up second hand will save you some $$ if cost is a factor.

Funny thing is, I was about to tear out and abandon the triple coil set-up myself and switch back to duals when it occurred to me to give this a try. Found that not all liquids play nice with the Pancake as well.

I have a clone so I may take it upon myself to drill two 1/16 holes aligned with the third air slit through the negative side. Would have to avoid the screw threads. We'll see.....when I have time....

Do you guys all use this for him to buy and sell or are there other places besides the Facebook nationwide mod traitor anything you would recommend for selling mods? I'm actually surprised how well some of them sell on eBay even with the fees usually they go for more than they do in the forms here maybe due to a less educated demographic
