I have a background in metal works, so it wasn't a huge leap to pick up machining. Mainly, though....I was just highly motivated to make the mod that I really wanted, for myself. I was really pretty happy with REOs, though the square shape always kinda bugged me. Once I got a hold of one of Peter's mods, I knew I needed something similarly shaped, only made of metal. I'm kinda hard on stuff...

Lots of trial and error, too....

:)

I was about to mention that you don't (didn't) post all the failures/mistakes/complete screw-ups.

Lord knows I had a bunch of them when I was learning to use a lathe and mill.

Thanks, buddy. :)

I haven't had a chance to mess with the goon, yet. My main reason for getting it was just to show what a 24mm atty looks like on the new mods.

If anyone needs any REO adjustable 510's, lemme know... :)

At one point, early on....I had thought to maybe use them in my mods....
Ummm...

$?

And what tools are needed?

I was under the impression the OG 510 was press fit, no?

A press fit, indeed. Ideally, you'd want to use an end mill that's about .015" undersized, then finish the hole off with a chucking reamer that's about .001" less than the OD of the 510. Then, arbor press that baby in 'ere...

The OD of the 510 is .425", so you may be able to just use a 27/64" drill, or end mill, to bore the hole, then just press it in.

I could send you a couple, if you think you might use 'em. :)

As much as I want a ti i wonder if that's a feeling I'm going to go with one of the 26650 (especially after these pics) growing inside. Lol.

Decisions decisions.

Then you can post s picture of a titanium one and I'll change my mind.

I prob won't be satisfied til I have one of every style. Like Pokémon. Catch em all

I love the fact you post so many pics mod process etc. really interesting stuff

That's what I was afraid of.

I need to build a damn garage first.

Which is going to take decades with my current spare time at home.

I really appreciate the offer, Corey.

Thanks.

Stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium don't LOOK a whole lot different.

But they do FEEL quite different in the hand.

A few of us have BTDT and have half a dozen CeeCees to prove it.

So, I held out on the Sunbox Cappy V4 bottles due to the fairly exorbitant price tag. However, I have since snagged a couple of them and they are the truth! So easy to fill, literally just dump the juice in there from the bottle and so soft. Easy to squonk every last drop out of these things. No leaking!

For future CC buyers, do yourselves a favor and have Corey include one of these things (assuming he has them). They are worth every bit of the price. I regret not moving to these bottles sooner.
