Aren't you just loving the Brass??????
I'd like to see a picture of that. I am just OCD and have to keep mine polished, but I love it.Without a doubt, I was debating letting it naturally patina for awhile but today just seemed like a good day to polish her up. I may let her patina for a bit after today and see where that goes.

That would really look awesome.I'll let it ride for awhile and post occasional "progress" pics here, I'm interested to see where it goes too. On the brass Nuppin' AFC ring after awhile it took on an almost leather like look.
Both work fine in mine.Since many have their CCs, anyone have opinions on flat-top vs. button top cells in their CC?
Looks nice, love the colors.Oh sure, make me go outside and take a new picture of it.

Truth be told, you gotta catch the light just right to see those colors, but the same is true of certain wood mods I own as well.
I haven't had a problem with the flat tops. Thanks KK.
I never liked flat tops in my Grands, throw is too long to me, button tops only for them!
So button throw on the CC is ok with a flat top then?
Corey you are just so kind and thoughtful.I run Sony flat tops. Button tops will work as well.
To shorten the throw, you can install a brass washer under the brass screw, that is the negative contact.
To increase the throw, material has to be taken away. Either from the head of the brass screw/neg. contact, or from the silver on the positive contact. A file or sandpaper works just fine.
99.999% of them will need no adjustment for either flat tops or button tops... but it is possible that a few might...
And, of course, I would be happy to make the adjustments for you, if you need me to.![]()
I figured that is what happened to you, missed all of the pictures.Ok not much WiFi in Alaska and some pretty lousy expensive WiFi on the ship. But on our way to Canada so connectivity will be looking up in a couple of days time. Need to get the Alaska pics off my camera but here is a shot of CeeCee at the Pike Market in Seattle where we had the best clam chowder ever!
